Jon Wittick

Jon Wittick was a male human who served as a Councilor aboard the Galactic Republic prison vessel called the Restitution. Following the Battle of Galov, Lourna Dee, the Tempest Runner belonging to the Nihil pirate group, was apprehended and incarcerated on the Restitution. Unbeknownst to the Republic, she was using a false identity. Wittick became intrigued by her case, harboring the belief that he could aid in her reformation. Dee eventually disclosed her true identity to Wittick and requested his assistance. Respecting her confidence, Wittick maintained her secret and continued to support her efforts toward change. However, Wittick's attempts were thwarted when Pan Eyta, Dee's former rival and Tempest Runner, assaulted the Restitution. During the conflict, Wittick, Dee, and her allies managed to subdue Eyta and the attacking Nihil forces. Dee, however, chose not to kill Eyta, resulting in his capture. Although the Nihil attack was repelled, numerous individuals on board the Restitution perished, leaving Wittick as the sole surviving guard. After external communications were restored, the prison ship received a distress signal from the surviving Tempest Runner, Zeetar. Dee, upon hearing the message, recognized an opportunity to rejoin the Nihil. She announced her execution of Eyta to the entire ship, inviting the remaining prisoners to join her cause. Both Wittick and Sestin Blin, a fellow prisoner who had grown close to Dee, voiced their opposition. With only one shot remaining in her blaster, Dee fired at Wittick over Sestin, saving Sestin by launching her in an escape pod. Subsequently, Dee assumed control of the Restitution, renaming it the Lourna Dee in honor of herself and her previous flagship, and rejoined the Nihil.

Personality and traits

Wittick strongly believed in Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh's Great Works initiative, particularly its focus on prisoner rehabilitation. Even after Lourna Dee revealed her true identity to him, Wittick continued to address her publicly by her alias, "Sal Krost," and persisted in his efforts to help her reform.
