Keo Venzee was a Mirialan pilot strong in the Force. They were a member of the New Republic's Vanguard Squadron during the Galactic Civil War and had previously been a professional starship racer. After the Battle of Endor, Venzee fought against the Galactic Empire's Titan Squadron. They were Force-sensitive.
Keo Venzee was an individual born on the Mirialan homeworld of Mirial who identified as non-binary and possessed sensitivity to the Force. As per Mirialan tradition, they learned to sense the Force's presence. Before joining the New Republic, Venzee competed as a professional starship racer. During their time as a racer, they earned five medals, including a champion's medal from the Socorro Sunset Grand Prix. These victories angered criminal organizations that controlled races in the Outer Rim Territories. Subsequently, Venzee was rescued by someone who showed them the conflict between the Galactic Empire and the New Republic.
Venzee served as a pilot for Vanguard Squadron, a crucial starfighter squadron in the effort to defeat the remaining Imperial forces. Venzee primarily piloted an A-wing starfighter, working alongside their wingmate, the male Trandoshan Feresk Tssat. Around 4 ABY, the squadron operated in the Bormea sector on a special operation known as Project Starhawk. Venzee and the other Vanguard Squadron pilots served under the command of General Hera Syndulla when she brought reinforcements to assist them. Shortly thereafter, Syndulla learned that her own battle group had suffered heavy losses against the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing during its campaign in the Cerberon system.
Keo Venzee had yellow skin, black [hair](/article/hair], and blue [eyes](/article/eye], typical of Mirialans. They also had black tattoos on their forehead, the bridge of their nose, their cheekbones, and their chin. Known for their optimistic and easygoing nature, they often joked with their wingmate, even during high-pressure situations.
Venzee's uniform consisted of an orange flight suit and a personalized flight helmet featuring yellow, purple, red, and black accents on a white background.
Keo Venzee was a character created for the 2020 video game Star Wars: Squadrons. They were voiced by Bex Taylor-Klaus, a nonbinary actor who also uses "they/them" pronouns. Keo's flight helmet prominently features the colors of the non-binary flag (yellow, white, purple, and black). Electronic Arts Star Wars community director Jay Ingram stated that the design was a "complete accident" when this was pointed out.
In 2022, a Keo Venzee pilot card was released as part of the Hotshots and Aces II Reinforcements Pack for the Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition ship-to-ship combat game. Venzee is identified as "Auspicious Ace" and pilots the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor.
