Kharrek

Kharrek, a male individual, made his living as a bounty hunter during the Imperial Era. In the year 3 ABY, after Lady Domina Tagge, who was the head of the Tagge Corporation, offered a reward for the capture of the wayward archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra, Kharrek allied himself with the assassin known as Just Lucky with the goal of seizing her. Kharrek and Lucky, making use of darts filled with neurotoxin, seized Aphra at Arveesh Station and then handed her over to Tagge on her flagship, the Acquisitor. Following their arrival, Aphra used one of Kharrek's own darts to disable him, and then menaced Tagge with his blaster.

Biography

During the Imperial Era, Kharrek made his living as a bounty hunter. In 3 ABY, Lady Domina Tagge, the head of Tagge Corporation, put a bounty of 20,000 credits on the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra; this information was sent to Kharrek and other bounty hunters by the bondsman Syphacc. Kharrek collaborated with the assassin Just Lucky in order to capture Aphra at Arveesh Station. Lucky spotted the archaeologist south of the night market and fired on her speeder bike, destroying it. He then informed Kharrek of Aphra's location, telling him to stay put until he arrived. Kharrek then shot a [neurotoxin](/article/neurotoxin] dart at Aphra, approaching her and telling her about her fate as she collapsed. As Aphra began to lose consciousness, she realized she didn't recognize him. Kharrek simply commented on the riches he was about to receive.

Kharrek piloted a starship on which they transported Aphra, who was placed in the vessel's airlock, to Tagge Space to deliver her to Tagge on her flagship, the Acquisitor. Kharrek noticed that Aphra had woken up from the neurotoxin's effect and threatened to throw her out of the airlock unless she behaved. As the pair's starship got close to the Acquisitor, Kharrek interrupted a conversation between Aphra and Lucky to tell them they had arrived.

After landing their vessel on the Acquisitor, Kharrek and Lucky, with the former pushing Aphra by her arm, were escorted to Tagge's office by her assistant, Lapin Tagge. Lapin told them that the money would be transferred to their accounts when they delivered Aphra. Upon arriving in Domina's office, Kharrek restrained Aphra as she was questioned by the Tagge Corporation head. Aphra stalled for time and secretly grabbed one of Kharrek's darts, using it on him. Kharrek cried out as his own neurotoxin took effect, and he collapsed. Aphra then used the incapacitated hunter's blaster to threaten Domina, who requested privacy to discuss the terms of a job for which she wanted to hire Aphra.

Personality and traits

Kharrek's eyes were red, and his skin was green with black markings on his face. He was a male insectlike individual who was at least 1.56 meters tall, had clawed hands, and had two pairs of smaller appendages on his lower torso. His mouth was surrounded by four mandibles, and he had spikes on his arms and head. Kharrek was harsh to Aphra while she was his captive, threatening to eject her from an airlock. Unlike the other hunters after Aphra, she did not recognize him, but Kharrek was confident he would soon be rich.

Skills and abilities

Kharrek was a bounty hunter who was skilled in the use of neurotoxin-filled darts to incapacitate his targets. He was also capable of piloting a starship.

Equipment

Kharrek wore a sleeveless light brown tunic that was ragged around the neck and shoulders, as well as brown pants and black boots. He also wore brown pauldrons, a bandolier, and a brown belt. The bounty hunter used darts containing a neurotoxin that was non-lethal but, according to Kharrek, unpleasant. Kharrek also had a holster carrying a blaster, which Aphra stole and Domina later confiscated. He flew a starship while transporting Aphra to the Acquisitor.
