Kier Domadi

Kier Domadi, a human male hailing from the planet of Alderaan, served alongside Princess Leia Organa as Alderaan's representative in the Apprentice Legislature during the year 3 BBY. Differing from the aspirations of most Apprentice Legislators, Domadi had no ambitions for a career in politics; his true passion lay in becoming a historian, specializing in the era of the Clone Wars. He even participated in clandestine Clone Wars reenactments, often taking on the role of a clone SCUBA trooper. His studies in historical anthropology equipped him with knowledge of various primitive survival skills, such as constructing a travois and crafting flint knives. A romantic connection developed between him and Organa, leading to a relationship. Eventually, Organa confided in Domadi, revealing that her parents, Queen Breha and Viceroy Bail, were actively involved in forming a rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Domadi expressed his disapproval of the Organas' actions, citing his deep-seated belief in Alderaanian pacifism. He also shared his concerns with Leia about the potential repercussions for Alderaan should the Empire discover their involvement. This conviction, combined with his profound love for his homeworld outweighing his fear of the Empire, motivated him to secretly gather intelligence on the rebellion. His intention was to deliver this information to the Empire, hoping to safeguard both Alderaan and Leia. When Organa journeyed to the Paucris system to alert a rebel base there about an impending Imperial investigation of the system, Domadi, previously informed of her mission by Organa as an explanation for a cancelled meeting, pursued her in a cutter with the aim of acquiring additional information on the rebels. He arrived in the system just as the orbital platforms previously utilized by the rebels were on the verge of self-destruct. Organa, horrified to recognize him piloting the ship, attempted to warn him, but her warning was too late. Domadi's ship sustained severe damage from the explosions. Fatally wounded by the shockwave, he confessed to Organa, upon her boarding his vessel, about his collected data and implored her to submit the memory rod containing the information before dying. However, Organa chose to retrieve Domadi's body onto her ship, leaving the memory rod to be consumed in Paucris Major's atmosphere aboard Domadi's cutter. Domadi's parents were informed that their son had perished while saving Leia during a small-craft accident within Alderaan's upper atmosphere. Following Domadi's burial on his homeworld, Organa placed a strand of Domadi's hair inside her keepsake chest. As of 28 ABY, this lock of hair remained within Organa's chest.
