Tarr Kligson
Tarr Kligson, a human belonging to the Kligson clan, made his living as a bounty hunter. He collaborated with fellow bounty hunter Jango Fett until Fett's death during 22 BBY. During that year, the pair engaged in a heist in the Outer Rim Territories, an event that resulted in Kligson sustaining injuries. Kligson then guided Fett to The Haven, a droid station that his family had protected for a millennium. Upon reaching the station, Kligson pleaded with the resident droids to heal him, which they did, but only after forcing Fett to depart. Kligson remained on the station after his repairs were complete.
A Force vision experienced by Darth Vader, the Sith Lord, between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, courtesy of the Eye of Webbish Bog, revealed members of the Rebel Alliance journeying to a specific moon. This journey was prompted by Luke Skywalker sensing a disturbance in the Force emanating from that location. Arriving at the moon, they discovered that the disturbance originated from an attack on homesteaders carried out by the droid Ajax Sigma aboard their ship. Skywalker requested that R2-D2 interface with the [ship](/article/starship]'s systems to determine if the homesteaders possessed any knowledge about the moon. R2 then uncovered the moon's name and shared it with the rebels, leading Lando Calrissian to express his unfamiliarity with the moon and his relief at not being in Kligson's position.
Also occurring between 3 ABY and 4 ABY was Kligson's transformation into a cyborg fixer. He formed an alliance with the Scourge to seize control of The Haven, assuming the role of its new guardian, much like his ancestors before him. The crew led by the bounty hunter T'onga journeyed to The Haven in search of Kligson, hoping he could save their crewmember, the cyborg Beilert Valance. Upon their arrival, Valance was brought before Kligson, who, instead of offering assistance, declared his intention to use Valance's body as a host to "usher in a perfect age." However, the Scourge betrayed Kligson, abandoning him to the bounty hunters after successfully taking over Valance's body.
Behind the scenes
The initial appearance of Tarr Kligson was in Bounty Hunters 37. In this comic issue, his right arm is shown to incorporate the salvaged forearm and hand from a B1-series battle droid. However, on a variant cover for the same issue, while the forearm design remains consistent, he is mistakenly depicted with a robotic right hand featuring five fingers with sharpened tips, a departure from the B1-like hand seen in the comic itself.
