Kligson's Moon

Kligson's Moon was a satellite, specifically a moon, situated within a certain sector. A droid station, known as the Haven, was in orbit around it. For many millennium, the Kligson clan were the protectors of the station, hence the moon's designation after the clan. The droid Ajax Sigma was created there, who then sought to liberate droids across the galaxy, and assembled an army to achieve this. This army initiated the Kligson's Moon Uprising, exterminating the entire population of Kligson's Moon. During the High Republic Era, a battle took place on the moon between Sigma's forces and the Jedi Order. Numerous droids were destroyed in the conflict, including Sigma, although he was later reconstructed.

A Force vision, experienced by Darth Vader via the Eye of Webbish Bog sometime between 3 ABY and 4 ABY, revealed that the moon's coordinates were erased from all star-charts after the Jedi had destroyed Sigma. Sigma later returned to Kligson's Moon seeking something, but upon arrival, he was attacked by homesteaders. Sigma defended himself, killing the homesteaders aboard their ship, an event sensed by the Jedi Luke Skywalker. Skywalker, along with other members of the Rebel Alliance, then journeyed to the moon, where Skywalker encountered Sigma.

Behind the scenes

In current Star Wars canon, Kligson's Moon made its debut, through a vision, in the one-shot comic issue Revelations, penned by Marc Guggenheim and released by Marvel Comics on November 23, 2022. Originally, Kligson's Moon was introduced within the Star Wars Legends continuity in the forty-seventh issue of the comic book series Star Wars, authored by Archie Goodwin, with illustrations by Carmine Infantino, and published by Marvel on February 24, 1981. Within that continuity, Kligson's Moon was not a moon, but rather a mobile space station inhabited by droids.
