Lengilese

The civilization of the Lengilese met its end by 3 ABY, as reported by the unconventional archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra. The Shadow University, located in the Outer Rim, as well as Ronen Tagge of the House of Tagge, in his penthouse on the planet Cantonica in the Outer Rim, both possessed collections of this civilization's artifacts.

In that year, Aphra cleverly disguised several detonite rings to resemble a Lengilese life-fasting bracelet. She then used one of these disguised rings in a trade with Lady Proxima, a crime boss on the Core Worlds planet Corellia, to get information about a particular artifact she was after. Not long after, the smuggler Sana Starros exposed the archaeologist's deception.

Description

The Lengilese were an ancient people. The life-fasting bracelet, a jewel, was one of their artifacts, according to the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra.

History

A Dream Come True for an Archaeologist

Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra (top left) was amazed by the Lengilese collection Ronen Tagge (front right) had in his penthouse.

By 3 ABY, Doctor Aphra considered the Lengilese civilization to be a long-lost culture. The Shadow University, situated within the Outer Rim Territories, housed a collection of Lengilese relics. Furthermore, Ronen Tagge of the House of Tagge possessed a substantial assortment of Lengilese artifacts, displayed in a gallery inside his private penthouse located in Canto Bight, the capital city of the planet Cantonica in the Outer Rim.

In 3 ABY, after she and her crew were escorted to Tagge's penthouse, Aphra was astonished by his artifact collection, describing it as "incredible" and noting its superiority in size compared to the Shadow University's collection. Subsequently, the archaeologist inquired of Eustacia Okka, a professor from the university and a member of her team, whether she had previously seen Tagge's collection. Before Okka could respond, Tagge interjected, expressing his pleasure that the archaeologist was enjoying his gallery.

Tricking Lady Proxima

Later that year, Aphra journeyed to Corellia, a Core Worlds planet, to obtain information from Lady Proxima, a crime boss, regarding a specific artifact. She had been contracted by Lady Domina Tagge of the Tagge Corporation to locate and steal the artifact. While waiting outside the crash pad of Sana Starros, a smuggler, during the night, the archaeologist painted a number of detonite ring explosives to make them look like a Lengilese life-fasting bracelet.

Doctor Aphra (right) successfully acquired the information she needed from Lady Proxima (left) by offering her a detonite ring disguised as a Lengilese life-fasting bracelet.

The following day, when Aphra was granted an audience with Proxima, she presented one of the rings to the crime boss as a gesture of goodwill in exchange for the desired information. The crime boss accepted the offering, unaware of the deception. Shortly thereafter, the archaeologist employed one of the disguised rings to briefly immobilize General Vukorah of the Unbroken Clan criminal organization, enabling her to seize a datapad. Upon witnessing the ring detonate, Starros expressed her skepticism to Aphra regarding its true nature as a bracelet, as she had claimed. After examining the remnants of the device, the smuggler promptly identified it as a detonite ring and inquired about the duration it took the archaeologist to paint them.

Behind the scenes
