Noris

Noris was a celestial body that existed within the Chiss Ascendancy, which is the political entity of the Chiss species found in the Unknown Regions. The Clarr light cruiser named Orisson, belonging to the Clarr family fleet, made a journey to the planet Ornfra in 18 BBY under the orders of Clarr family Patriarch Clarr'ivl'exow, also known as "Rivlex." This occurred after the discovery of at least six warships from the Grysk species, specifically those belonging to the coordinator "Jixtus"'s fleet, in proximity to the Gem section of the Junkyard asteroid field within the Rhigal system. While at Ornfra, the Orisson became engaged in battle with the FateSpinner, a Shatter-class WarMaster that was part of Jixtus' fleet. The Orisson's Captain, Clarr'os'culry who was also known as "Roscu", considered the possibility of having been tracked from Rhigal. However, Roscu also reasoned that after the Orisson entered hyperspace, the alien warship could not have definitively known the destination of the Clarr starship, given the existence of numerous celestial bodies along the calculated trajectory, including Noris.

Behind the scenes

Within established Star Wars canon, the reference to Noris can be found in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, which serves as the concluding installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy. Conversely, within the context of Star Wars Legends, the mention of Noris appears in the 2009 reference work titled The Essential Atlas, which was written by Daniel Wallace together with Jason Fry.
