II-0810 Satellite Station

The secret listening post designated II-0810 Satellite Station, often called Nova Garon, functioned as a concealed station within a dense field of frozen asteroids in the Nova Garon system. The Imperial Security Bureau utilized it to collect intelligence on nearby systems and formulate strategies. Furthermore, it served as a well-equipped staging ground for the Imperial Military, providing resources and facilitating large-scale operations.

Description

Constructed inside a vast collection of stellar crystals, the II-0810 Satellite Station was a sizable facility. The interior was primarily painted in shades of white and gray, and the station's corridors had a vertically rectangular shape. The station was equipped with a sophisticated security infrastructure.

Access to the station was facilitated through hanger bays and cargo landing zones, including a large one that housed TIE/ln space superiority starfighters and TIE/sa bombers. Bode's Z-95 Headhunter was at one time docked in the hanger. Numerous control stations were strategically placed within the hangar. Due to increased security measures upon Kestis' arrival, hangar access was limited. All traffic was diverted to secondary landing zones for thorough inspections until further notice. Hangar security protocols included Air Traffic Control systems whose external monitoring could be corrupted with the ATC external monitoring coming offline. This could be triggered by a training exercise or by someone hacking into the station's network.

Control stations were strategically positioned throughout the station, overseeing security protocols that mandated multiple, isolated backup servers in the event of unexpected power outages or enemy intrusions. These stations also featured terminals accessible through authorization. The station incorporated hexagonal maintenance shafts, clad in gray plating and patrolled by Viper probe droids. As an added layer of security, electron walls were deployed across the station. These walls, commonly found in high-security Imperial installations, permitted the safe passage of non-organic matter while inflicting painful consequences on anything else. In emergency situations, electron wall lockdowns were to be activated, and multiple walls were activated to eliminate intruders.

The central command center featured a spacious chamber, complete with a multi-bridge walkway system that could be rotated as needed. A platform with a large holoprojector was situated at the center of the walkways, which Lank Denvik used to address all personnel in the station from his command center from his spacious office overlooking the central command center. There was also another large chamber with a platform surrounded by multiple walkways. An area beneath the platform was protected by electron walls. A wide corridor connected both the center and Denvik's office.

Entry to the officers' living quarters required passing through a security scanner designed to detect weaponry, bombs, hazardous materials, or other threats. The scanner prevented unauthorized personnel from gaining access to the area. Before entering the officers' quarters, visiting personnel were required to state their purpose, which should have been communicated by central command. If not, a security droid was summoned. Bode Akuna, a former Jedi and ISB operative concealed from the rest of the Empire, occupied one of the quarters with his daughter, Kata. His quarters contained an audio message from Bode to Kata, a collection of data from Bode's undercover mission, and a family portrait of Bode, Kata, and Tayala Akuna.

History

The station was operated by many ISB officers.

In 9 BBY, Cal Kestis, a Jedi Knight, led the Stinger Mantis crew in an infiltration of the station. During the search for Bode Akuna, forces of the Inquisitorius were also present on the station, investigating rumors that Chief Supervisor Lank Denvik was harboring a Jedi. Akuna and his daughter managed to escape as the Inquisitorius took control of the station. While pursuing Akuna, Kestis briefly succumbed to the dark side of the Force, leaving a path of destruction through the base and killing several members of the Security Bureau and Inquisitorius who opposed him. The officers were gripped by fear and alarm at their enemy's ferocity. Darth Vader later executed Denvik.

Bounty hunters Fenn and Masi Finau, working for the Haxion Brood crime syndicate, later infiltrated the station along with their droid KLE-0 and were killed by Kestis, who was searching for bounty hunters who were interested in acquiring the bounty offered by him by the Haxion Brood.
