Raven's Peak

Raven's Peak, also known as Tarkin's compound, was a significantly fortified stronghold under the ownership of Governor Wilhuff Tarkin and situated on his home planet, Eriadu. Around 18 BBY, it served as the location for an important Imperial summit. The summit gathered the Empire's Chief Scientist along with leading officers to deliberate on the future of the galaxy. However, Clone Force 99 and Saw Gerrera's Partisans launched an assault on the compound. The Partisans strategically placed thermal detonators throughout the complex and detonated them, resulting in the destruction of the entire facility except for the command spire.

Description

Composition

Situated on a mountain within the Seswenna sector on the capital planet of Eriadu, Governor Wilhuff Tarkin's native world, Raven's Peak was an Imperial fortress. The fortress comprised multiple facilities constructed within the mountain's rock, along with a tower extending from its summit. The facility, informally referred to as Tarkin's compound, was heavily guarded and accessible solely via air or a dedicated a dedicated sky rail system that connected the main complex to the Raven's Peak starfighter depot. The only entry point to the complex was a well-protected hangar on the facility's lowest level, which was directly linked to the rail line terminal.

Landing bay

The compound's landing bay was a vast, cave-like area patrolled by TK stormtroopers. These stormtroopers were also responsible for maintaining stationed ships, inspecting them for homing beacons, and loading supplies and weaponry. An officer and two Imperial weapons technicians oversaw the landing bay from a control room. They supervised the arrival and departure of starships, verified their clearance codes, and monitored the security systems within the zone. The landing bay had the capacity to accommodate a minimum of five Rho-class Transport Shuttles and one Alpha-3 V-wing starfighter in a landing configuration.

Sky rail line

Aside from the landing bay, the sole means of accessing the facility was a sky rail line that stretched from a base station (which also functioned as a starfighter depot) to a terminal adjacent to the Raven's Peak hangars. Specialized rail cars, suspended from the rails and propelled by powered cogs, traversed the line between the base station and the terminal. The system employed two parallel lines, each capable of operating independently in the event of a mechanical failure. Control stations located within the line's support pylons allowed for interaction with the line's controls. Perimeter sensors were strategically positioned in areas where the line approached the ground to prevent potential hijackings.

Command tower

Raven's Peak played host to several high-ranking Imperial officers

The command tower served as the facility's focal point, featuring a heavily reinforced conference room situated at the mountain's peak. The conference table served as the room's centerpiece and supported a holoprojector. Six chairs surrounded the table, with one chair having a higher back specifically reserved for Governor Tarkin. The room incorporated a large window providing a view of the valley below. Both the window and the chamber's entrance could be sealed by double blast door capable of withstanding a bomb attack. The tower's isolation from the remainder of the complex was intentionally designed to safeguard its occupants, even in the event of Raven's Peak's total destruction.

Control station

A control station within the main complex oversaw all facets of site security, including the corridor security cameras and perimeter sensors. Weapons technicians staffed the station, possessing the ability to reroute power as required or alert on-site security in the event of a perimeter breach.
