Champions of the Force (SWGTCG)
Champions of the Force, featuring over 300 cards of various types including 30 Loot cards, was the inaugural expansion for the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game, launching on August 26, 2008.
The storyline within this set, presented via Scenarios, centers on the journeys of four avatar characters as they seek an ancient Jedi holocron known as the Codex of Tython. The Rebel Coret Bhan and Jedi Rachi Sitra are on a quest to locate the artifact's fragments, while the Sith Namman Cha and Imperial Jeffren Brek aim to acquire it for use as a weapon.
Within this expansion, the Heroic encounter mode recreates the Battle of Nym's Factory Compound, where a group of spacers attempt to disable the droid factory controlled by IG-88. IG-88 deploys Battle droids and Droidekas to thwart the spacers and guarantee the success of his Droid Revolution.
