Terro

A human male named Terro spent his formative years on the planet Tatooine, living with his mother and father. Their home was a moisture farm, where they resided until Jabba the Hutt forcibly separated Terro from his parents after his mother's refusal to remit the demanded water tax. This event propelled Terro to enlist in the Galactic Empire's Stormtrooper Corps, eventually achieving the rank of Stormtrooper Captain. Stationed back on Tatooine, his mission was to thwart Jabba's capacity to inflict harm on others.

When a Rebel starship, carrying non-combatants, met its end on Tatooine within Jabba's territory, Terro and his contingent intervened with the intention of securing the survivors. However, their arrival was met with resistance from a rebel squad who misinterpreted their actions as hostile. Terro, managing to rescue some of the survivors, transported them to a secure outpost where they received shelter, nourishment, and medical care. The rebel squad, now coerced into service for Jabba, launched an ambush against one of Terro's patrols, seizing their code cylinders. As the rebels made their escape aboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, Terro intercepted them using a shuttle and confronted them on the vessel's deck. He was once again defeated and compelled to retreat, facilitating the rebels' escape.

Subsequently, the rebels launched an assault on an Imperial listening post, dispatching a fabricated distress call intended to lure Terro into a trap. Upon arriving at the distress signal's location, Terro was ambushed and ultimately defeated by the rebels. Seeking to survive, Terro brokered a deal with the rebels: in exchange for his life, he would lead them to the outpost sheltering the remaining survivors. Having recently discovered that his mother was still alive and enslaved by Jabba, Terro forged an alliance with the rebel squad, sharing the common objective of raiding Jabba's Palace to liberate their loved ones. Together, they launched a nighttime assault on the palace, successfully freeing the prisoners and defeating Jabba. Following this victory, Terro and the rebels parted ways, with Terro submitting a falsified report stating that the survivors had perished at Jabba's hands, thereby ensuring their safety from the Empire.

Biography

Terro, a male human, spent his early life on Tatooine, a desert planet, living alongside his father and mother. His parents worked as moisture farmers, residing at Terro Farm. During the Great Drought, Senza Terro, his mother, defied Jabba the Hutt by refusing to pay the imposed water tax. As a consequence of her defiance, Jabba took the young Terro from his parents. Driven by the separation from his family caused by Jabba, Terro joined the Empire to combat criminals like Jabba. Terro held the rank of Stormtrooper Captain and was stationed on Tatooine with the aim of preventing Jabba from tearing apart more families. Lacking the authorization for a full-scale offensive, Terro's best course of action was to provide refuge for the numerous victims of Jabba the Hutt.

Terro's troops investigate the crashed rebel transport.

During the Galactic Civil War, prior to 0 BBY, a Rebel transport, carrying civilians en route to a concealed rebel world, crash-landed within Jabba the Hutt's domain on Tatooine. Terro and his forces responded to the crash site, initiating the process of transferring survivors onto a dropship with the intention of ensuring their safety. Among the rescued was a squad of rebels who mistakenly perceived the operation as an assault. The squad defended themselves against Terro's forces, eventually joined by some of Jabba's henchmen, prompting the captain to withdraw with a portion of the survivors. Terro transported the survivors to an Imperial outpost, providing them with shelter, and dispatched one of the survivors to a nearby listening post for medical treatment.

Some time later, unbeknownst to Terro, Jabba's guards captured one of his patrols. An "informant" secretly in Jabba's employ notified Terro that the missing patrol was located near the Great Pit of Carkoon. Terro dispatched his troops to investigate the area, but they were ambushed by the rebel squad, now working under duress for Jabba. The rebels overpowered the Imperial forces and seized code cylinders. The rebels fled aboard Jabba's sail barge, the Khetanna, but were pursued by additional Imperial forces on speeder bikes. Aboard an Imperial [shuttle](/article/shuttle], Captain Terro arrived and utilized the shuttle's ramp to board the barge while riding a dewback. During the ensuing conflict on the deck, the rebel squad managed to kill the dewback, forcing Terro to retreat. Terro, injured, boarded his ship and departed.

Terro subsequently received a distress call from the listening post, a ruse orchestrated by the rebel squad to set a trap for him. The rebel squad, accompanied by one of Jabba's bounty hunters, had previously seized the listening post and ambushed Terro in a confined pass. They engaged Terro in a decisive battle, ultimately defeating him. The rebels had previously learned from a crash survivor receiving medical attention at the post that the remaining survivors were alive and held at an outpost. Using this information, they interrogated Terro about the location of the other crash survivors. Terro offered to lead them to the outpost in exchange for his life. The rebels accepted the deal, much to the dismay of the bounty hunter, who turned against them. Terro assisted the rebels in their fight against the bounty hunter and his reinforcements, and honoring his agreement, he provided the rebels with the coordinates to the outpost.

Among Terro's forces were desert stormtroopers and dewback mounts (examples pictured).

The rebels arrived at the outpost and reunited with Terro. Terro guided them to one of the camp tents, where the crash survivors were receiving care. Terro explained his motivation for joining the Empire: to protect people from criminals like Jabba, who had taken his parents away. He also revealed that he had recently learned that his mother was still alive and held as a slave by Jabba. With Jabba still holding some of the survivors captive, Terro joined forces with the rebels to assault Jabba's palace and liberate their friends and family.

Under the cover of night, Terro and the rebel squad approached the palace. They used explosives to breach a hole in the palace wall and entered, with Captain Terro leading the charge on a dewback. They fought through Jabba's guards, advancing towards the audience chamber. En route, the group encountered Senza Terro, Terro's mother. The two embraced, having been separated for years. Following the brief reunion, Terro and his mother proceeded to the palace's dungeon to free the prisoners, while the rebels advanced to the audience chamber to confront Jabba. After the rebels defeated Jabba and his thugs, they reunited with Terro, Senza, and the freed prisoners outside the palace. They all boarded a speeder and headed back to civilization. The rebels and rescued survivors departed the planet on a transport, and Terro falsified his official report, claiming that all the crash survivors had perished at Jabba's hands.

Personality and traits

Terro demonstrated concern for the well-being of civilians, particularly those victimized by Jabba's rule, stemming from his own experience as a victim of Jabba. He provided food, shelter, and medical assistance to those he rescued. He also prioritized the safety of his soldiers, organizing search parties for missing personnel. His troops were known for their unwavering loyalty to him due to this. He was also willing to falsify official reports when necessary to ensure the safety of others.

Equipment

Terro wore Stormtrooper armor modified for desert conditions. He traversed the harsh deserts of Tatooine on dewbacks. He employed a flamethrower during combat. Terro's forces consisted of sandtroopers, jet troopers, Imperial officers, viper probe droids, dewbacks, and an AT-DP.

Behind the scenes

Terro was conceived for the Jabba's Realm expansion set and the Captain Terro Villain Pack, supplementary material for the Star Wars Legends strategy board game Star Wars: Imperial Assault, which was released in 2016. Terro was incorporated into canon through the "Jabba's Realm" campaign included in Legends of the Alliance, a companion app for Star Wars: Imperial Assault, in 2018.

This article presumes a specific path within the campaign, which can differ based on player choices. After the rebels obtain the code cylinders, they have the option to withhold them from Jabba and instead retain them for the Rebel Alliance. This decision leads to the rebels fleeing from the Great Pit of Carkoon and heading toward what they discover to be Terro Farm. At the farm, a three-way conflict ensues between the rebels, Terro's forces, and Jabba's guards, with the rebels ultimately escaping and meeting up with a group of rebel agents. Another variation occurs if each player is defeated before acquiring the code cylinders, resulting in a retreat and the mission concluding without the pursuit on the sail barge taking place.

If they opted to retain the code cylinders for the Rebellion, the story continues with the rebels attacking the listening post and Terro, with the distinction that they are accompanied by more rebels instead of a bounty hunter. When confronting Terro, both sides are ambushed by Jabba's forces, prompting Terro to suggest a team-up. If the players choose to collaborate with Terro, the rest of the story unfolds similarly, with Terro leading the rebels to the outpost to reunite with the other survivors. If the players decline to team up with Terro, two different outcomes can occur. If they defeat all of Jabba's forces and Terro survives, Terro retreats, and the rebels never encounter him again, nor do they meet the other survivors at Terro's outpost. If they defeat Terro, then Terro will die. Also, if the players had instead chose to keep the code cylinders for Jabba, and instead don't take Terro's deal, then this outcome will also result in the rebels killing Terro. If Terro is killed then his story ends there, and the rebel group never meets up with the other survivors at Terro's outpost. If the players are defeated, then they are apprehended by Terro and used to trade for the freedom of Terro's mother and the other survivors. Before the trade, Terro informs the rebels that he has people inside Jabba's palace who will provide the rebels a means to escape.

If the players choose to team up with Terro and attack the palace, but Terro is defeated before they make it to Senza, then he never gets to meet his mother after the many years apart. If the players get defeated after they met up with Senza, then the rebels get enslaved by Jabba while the others make it to safety. If the players choose to team up with Terro and make a deal with Jabba to trade their lives for the freedom of the imprisoned survivors, then Terro accompanies them for the deal to bring the survivors to safety. This also happens if they rebels were apprehended by Terro and forced to be traded to Jabba.
