During the age of the New Republic, Teroj Kee, an operative working for the First Order, was tasked with the acquisition of a phase connector. The target was the shop owned by Flix and Orka, known as the Office of Acquisitions. This shop was located on the Colossus platform, which itself was situated on the planet Castilon. Kee's plan involved tricking Kazuda Xiono, who was temporarily managing the shop, into a cargo container. After incapacitating the droid BB-8, Kee successfully took the phase connector. Kee then tried to make his getaway using his Darius G-class freighter, carrying the stolen item. However, Xiono intervened and sabotaged the engine of the ship, causing it to crash into the sea. Kee, along with two stormtroopers, survived the crash but faced the wrath of Commander Pyre.
In the era of the New Republic, Flix, a Gozzo, and Orka, a Chadra-Fan, operated the Office of Acquisitions on the Colossus, dealing in starship components. Over the years, a Keteerian called Teroj Kee had repeatedly attempted to steal from them, but Flix and Orka's constant vigilance had thwarted his efforts. Subsequently, Teroj joined the ranks of the First Order, a remnant of the Old Empire with ambitions of reclaiming the galaxy.
Teroj meticulously monitored Flix and Orka's communications, searching for an opening to pilfer from their inventory. He had his sights set on a phase connector, a piece of technology used for extracting resources from asteroids and smaller planetoids through cracking them open for mining. His chance arrived when Flix and Orka took a day trip to see Flix's mother. They entrusted their store to Kazuda Xiono, a spy working undercover for the Resistance. Unfamiliar with Kaz, Teroj believed he could exploit the younger individual.
Accompanied by at least three stormtroopers, Teroj journeyed to the Colossus aboard a Darius G-class freighter. Disguised as a representative of the Mining Guild, Kee stated that he was there to pick up a previously placed order for a phase connector. Kaz, after checking the shop's records, discovered that neither the Mining Guild nor Teroj had ever placed such an order. While the Office did indeed have a phase connector stored in the back, Kaz clarified that it was not available for sale, as it had already been promised to a mining colony located off-world.
After Bitey, the pet Gorg, bit Teroj, Kaz agreed to sell him three tool kits, ten lenses, and a crate filled with connector rods as compensation. Following Teroj's instructions, Kaz delivered these goods to a crate situated in the loading docks. However, Teroj ambushed him, locking him inside the crate, which was then scheduled to be dropped into the sea.
Kaz managed to escape the crate and clung to the crane just as it was dropped into the sea. Meanwhile, Teroj seized the phase connector from the Office of Acquisitions. BB-8 attempted to resist, but Teroj trapped him under a cupboard, leaving the store in disarray. Teroj then returned to his freighter, where he was joined by the First Order stormtroopers.
Kaz, accompanied by Bitey, pursued Teroj and the stolen phase connector onto his Darius G-class freighter. He managed to sneak aboard as the freighter departed the spaceport. Once on the ship, Kaz persuaded Bitey to sever the power cables connected to the electrode systems. This action led to an overload and subsequent explosion of the ship's engines.
Teroj attempted to stop Bitey by firing at him, but instead, he struck a power circuit, causing the second engine to detonate. As the freighter began its descent into the oceans, Kaz and Bitey attempted to flee, but they were separated by debris. Despite this, Kaz successfully reached an escape pod. Teroj and two of the stormtroopers also managed to escape in three escape pods before the freighter sank into the sea and exploded.
Kaz initially feared for Bitey's survival but was relieved when the gorg surfaced. Meanwhile, Commander Pyre, Teroj's First Order handler, contacted him and expressed disappointment at the failure of his mission to secure the phase connector. He commanded Teroj and his stormtrooper escorts to report immediately.
Having successfully downed the freighter carrying the stolen phase connector, Kaz and Bitey made their way back to the Office of Acquisitions. Flix and Orka were shocked to see their shop in a state of chaos, but their anger subsided when Kaz recounted Teroj's attempted heist and how he had brought down the freighter to prevent the First Order from acquiring the phase connector. Nevertheless, they instructed Kaz to clean up their shop. Kaz subsequently reported his encounter with Teroj over the phase connector to General Leia Organa, who was monitoring First Order activity.
