The eighth episode of the seventh and concluding season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is titled "Together Again". The first episode of Season Seven, "The Bad Batch," occurs after this episode in chronological order.
Rafa and Trace Martez are once again in their detention cell, located within the Pyke stronghold, brainstorming potential escape strategies. Ahsoka Tano suggests they analyze the events that led to their imprisonment. Rafa blames Ahsoka, stating that their current predicament is a direct result of Ahsoka's persuasion of Trace to discard the spice. She argues that if they had adhered to her original plan, they would be back on Coruscant, counting their profits. Ahsoka counters that Rafa's plan was flawed from the start, a sentiment echoed by Trace. Rafa expresses her frustration at her sister's alignment with Ahsoka. After their argument concludes, Ahsoka reveals that she has formulated a plan but prefers to keep its details undisclosed. Rafa expresses skepticism, but Ahsoka emphasizes the necessity of mutual trust for a successful escape. Pyke guards escort the three captives to Marg Krim's throne room. Krim presents them with a choice: either repay their debt or witness the gradual demise of their friends. Ahsoka proposes a private negotiation. To the dismay of the Martez sisters, Ahsoka informs Krim that they concealed the spice off-world, but she is unaware of its precise location. She proposes that the Pykes dispatch the sisters to retrieve the spice, granting them one rotation to return. If they fail to do so, Ahsoka will divulge the location of their family. Krim inquires about Ahsoka's personal gain from this arrangement, to which she replies that she only desires a small fraction of the spice shipment's value. Krim accepts the deal, warning the Martezes that they have a single rotation to recover the spice. Failure to comply will result in Ahsoka being tortured for the information, followed by the execution of Ahsoka, the sisters, and their family. As they depart, Rafa turns to Ahsoka and says, "I won't forget this."
After they leave, Fife cautions Krim that this is a ruse. Krim concurs, but acknowledges that he has limited options, as his own survival hinges on the spice's return. Fife inquires if "he" will discover the situation, and Krim responds that "He knows. He always knows."
Trace and Rafa embark on their journey aboard the Silver Angel, under the watchful eyes of the three Mandalorians. Ursa Wren informs Bo-Katan Kryze that she did not detect the Jedi on the ship. Bo-Katan instructs the others to maintain vigilance and notify her immediately upon Ahsoka's departure from the citadel.
During a refueling stop at the Orondia Refueling Station, Trace and Rafa discuss the recent events. Trace struggles to comprehend why Ahsoka would threaten to expose their family to the Pykes, given their lack of relatives. Rafa clarifies that Ahsoka's intention was to sacrifice herself for their freedom and that they must assist her in escaping, lest she hold it against Rafa if she manages to escape independently.
Trace and Rafa proceed to a Pyke loading facility, where Rafa contacts the facility and announces their arrival as a transport for a spice pickup. A Toong spice worker replies that there is no record of their shipment. Rafa assures him that she will resolve the discrepancy upon their arrival.
Upon landing, the Toong reiterates that he lacks authorization to release the spice to them. Rafa improvises, claiming that it is a rare "special request" order from "up top." While the Toong seeks clarification from his supervisor, Rafa directs the other workers to load the spice onto their ship.
The Toong confirms the absence of any mention of spice on the ship's manifest, and his manager deems the situation highly irregular. Rafa demands to speak with the manager and begins to berate the Toong when the manager, a Trandoshan, arrives. He demands to see the manifest and grabs Trace, prompting Rafa to strike him with a pipe, to no effect. Trace engages in combat with the Toong, while Rafa confronts the considerably stronger Trandoshan. During their struggle on a loading gantry, the Trandoshan attempts to throw Rafa to her death, but she clings to the frame and dislodges the gantry, causing the manager to fall to his death below. The sisters board their ship, now laden with spice, and set course back to the Pyke stronghold.
The guards return Ahsoka to her cell. As soon as they are gone, she uses the Force to unlock the door and stealthily exits. She navigates to a refinery where the Pykes are processing the spice and then locates an armory, where she equips herself with thermal detonators.
Ahsoka traverses the refinery, strategically placing detonators on the silos. She overhears Marg Krim's voice and observes the Pyke leader conversing with a hologram of Maul, reassuring him that they can proceed as planned despite the delay. Maul cautions that while the Pykes represent a small component of his grand scheme, their failure could jeopardize everything. Krim explains that the Republic is intensifying its crackdown on his operations, citing a recent raid on a shipment on Coruscant. Maul inquires about Jedi involvement, and Krim confirms that none of his men survived, implying their presence. He warns Krim that any further delays could lead to Crimson Dawn seizing control of their operations. Through the hologram, Maul detects Ahsoka's presence. She senses this and ducks out of sight just in time. Before Maul can take further action, a guard arrives and reports the prisoner's escape.
Ahsoka makes her way to the control room, where she accesses the transmission log, revealing that Maul is on Mandalore. The Pykes reappear and surround Ahsoka, who utilizes the Force and her Jedi training to fend them off. However, she is eventually overwhelmed by their superior numbers. Krim asks if the other two were Jedi as well, which Ahsoka denies. He declares that the Jedi Council will regret sending her and they stun her, returning her to the cell.
Ahsoka is brought before Krim, where he expresses his gratitude for her perfect timing, stating that her execution will restore the Pykes' reputation. Trace and Rafa arrive, announcing that they have returned the spice. Krim reveals that he knows they are working for the Republic and the Jedi Ahsoka. The sisters are shocked to learn of Ahsoka's Jedi status and demand to know why she concealed it from them. As they argue, the detonators explode, causing the room to shake and stunning the Pykes. Ahsoka, Rafa, and Trace dash to the landing platform and board the Silver Angel, but are pursued by three Pyke patrol ships. Ahsoka apologizes for not disclosing her Jedi identity, and Rafa suggests that she utilize her powers and skills to eliminate their pursuers. Ahsoka assumes control of the gun, destroying two ships, but several hits from the last one damage the cannon and rear deflector shields. Trace pilots the ship in a head-on collision course with the remaining Pyke ship, which swerves to avoid them, crashing into a mountain.
The Silver Angel ascends into space, trailed by a Mandalorian Kom'rk-class fighter.
The Silver Angel arrives at Coruscant, descending through the Underworld portal to Trace Martez's repair shop. Ahsoka begins to reassure Trace and Rafa that the Pykes are unlikely to pursue them, as they believe Ahsoka was on a mission for the Jedi. Rafa inquires if Ahsoka intends to arrest her for spice smuggling, but Ahsoka clarifies that she is no longer a Jedi. Trace struggles to understand how anyone could abandon the Jedi Order, and Ahsoka explains that it is a complex matter. Rafa observes that despite Ahsoka's disavowal of her Jedi status, she still acts like one, or at least how Rafa would expect them to act. Trace also expresses her gratitude, acknowledging that they were in over their heads and that Ahsoka saved them, considering her a friend.
Bo-Katan enters the workshop with the other two Mandalorians. Ahsoka instructs the Martez sisters to step back, and Bo-Katan removes her helmet, assuring her that Death Watch is no more. She reveals that they share a common enemy and activates a hologram of Maul. She requests Ahsoka's assistance, giving her five minutes to decide. Trace encourages her to help the Mandalorians as she has helped them, but Ahsoka hesitates, fearing the path it may lead her down—back to the Jedi. Rafa suggests that perhaps that is her true calling, and Ahsoka agrees, leaving her bike with the sisters "just in case," then boards the Mandalorian ship.
