Trillia was a celestial body situated within the Expansion Region. Its name was shared with the infamous Trillia Massacre, an incident in which numerous beings were killed and consumed by dwarf rathtars. In the vicinity of 34 ABY, the starship Sketter's Quarrel, a cargo transport, was discovered to be illegally transporting several exotic creatures, including a dwarf rathtar originating from Trillia.
The Expansion Region and the Slice were home to Trillia, a celestial object. It was positioned in grid square P-13 of the Standard Galactic Grid and was located on a hyperspace lane that connected it to the planet Aridus and the Mid Rim Territories space station Munt Ontdal. Dwarf rathtars, a subspecies of the carnivorous rathtar cephalopods native to the planet Twon Ketee, resided on Trillia.

The Trillia Massacre, an event that had transpired by 34 ABY, lent its name to Trillia. In this incident, numerous individuals were killed and devoured by dwarf rathtars.
Around 34 ABY, Sector Rangers of the New Republic came across the cargo starship Sketter's Quarrel adrift in space. Aboard the vessel, which was en route to Regent Solculvis of the Mol'leaj system situated in the Expansion Region, the Rangers discovered several exotic creatures being transported illegally, including a dwarf rathtar originating from Trillia. Subsequently, during the same year, information from the Rangers' case file, which mentioned the dwarf rathtar's point of origin, was included in the book Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, written by Police Commissioner Exantor Divo of the New Republic. The fact that dwarf rathtars came from Trillia was also noted in the journal of Ardis San Tekka, a cartographer from the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts, which was published no earlier than 35 ABY.
Trillia made its debut in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, penned by Pablo Hidalgo.
