Unidentified Anchorhead woman

A female human resided in the desert settlement of Anchorhead on the planet of Tatooine during the Galactic Empire's rule. When members of the Inquisitorius arrived in Anchorhead, seeking a Jedi who had previously escaped them in Mos Eisley, she was there. As a consequence of standing up to the intimidating tactics of the Third Sister, the woman's right hand was severed as a form of punishment.

Biography

The woman lost her hand to Third Sister's lightsaber.

This human woman made her home in Anchorhead, a city located on the Outer Rim planet of Tatooine, during the Imperial Era of the Galactic Empire. She possessed fair skin, red hair, and hazel-colored eyes.

In the year 9 BBY, three members of the Inquisitorius were unsuccessful in their attempt to capture a Jedi named Nari, who was in hiding in Mos Eisley. Sometime afterwards, the Inquisitors known as the Third Sister and the Fifth Brother arrived in Anchorhead searching for the Jedi. The Third Sister began to threaten the people of the town that she would cut off their hands if they did not cooperate with her. The woman spoke out, arguing that the Empire had no jurisdiction in the Outer Rim. Before she could complete her statement, the Third Sister acted on her threat, activating her lightsaber and slicing off the woman's right hand.

Behind the scenes

The woman's first appearance was in "Part I" of the Disney+ live-action television show Obi-Wan Kenobi, which was directed by Deborah Chow and released on May 26th, 2022. Karen Constantine played the role, and was credited as "Local Anchorhead Woman". Joby Harold, the series writer, conceived the idea of the woman having her hand abruptly severed by the Third Sister as a means of illustrating the antagonist's impulsive nature in pursuing her objectives through action, rather than simply through dialogue.
