A Nihil male of the Trandoshan species served as a member of captain I'nah's crew on her vessel. During 229 BBY, he participated in a meeting within the ship's briefing room, where he attempted to dissuade Nihil scientist Niv Drendow Apruk from journeying to the Outer Rim planet Valo, suggesting he remain aboard instead. Following this, the Trandoshan accompanied the aspiring pirate Zyle Keem, who had been secretly listening to their discussion, to the vessel's galley.
During the High Republic Era, a male Trandoshan functioned as a Nihil marauder. He was a member of captain I'nah's crew, a Nihil captain, operating on a vessel that had previously belonged to the Galactic Republic. The crew, for a time, was tasked with patrolling the Stormwall, a hyperspace barrier that separated the Occlusion Zone from the remaining Republic space within the galaxy. In 229 BBY, he was present at a meeting held in the ship's briefing room, where he informed Niv Drendow Apruk, a Nihil scientist, that Marchion Ro, the leader of the Nihil, required him to stay on the ship rather than travel to the Outer Rim planet of Valo to acquire materials for his research.
Zyle Keem, an aspiring pirate, overheard the meeting. Apruk instructed the Trandoshan to investigate who was nearby when they detected someone outside the door. Keem greeted the Trandoshan as they ate lochi fruits and allowed the peels to fall to the floor. After Keem inquired if they were at the galley, the Trandoshan, following Apruk's suggestion, brought the child to the canteen. The Nihil man grew overwhelmed and annoyed by Keem's constant questioning, divulging information out of frustration, including the number of crew members on the ship, his favorite food, Yorkan stew, and the location of the ship's emergency shuttles.
The Trandoshan hastily left Keem at the galley to avoid further questions, unaware that Keem had taken his access card. Keem attempted to inquire if they would need to pay for what they ate, but upon receiving no response, they then proceeded to fill their coat with food. Subsequently, Keem fled I'nah's ship to travel to Valo in hopes of acquiring the rare materials Apruk was seeking to make a profit, leaving in one of the shuttles the Trandoshan had told them of by using the pickpocketed access card. After the Trandoshan returned to the briefing room, I'nah's ship eventually traveled to Valo not long afterward at Apruk's request.
The Trandoshan expressed annoyance with Keem's messy behavior when they dropped lochi peels on the floor of his captain's vessel, and his irritation increased as he escorted the child to the galley. He considered stew made with Yorkan his preferred food, even telling Keem he would kill for a good bowl of it.
While serving on I'nah's ship, he was seen wearing spiny pauldrons and carrying an access card.
The Trandoshan made an appearance in Escape from Valo, a junior novel published in 2024 authored by Daniel José Older and Alyssa Wong as part of Phase III of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project.
