Biography

Reunifying Alderaan

Leaving Naboo with the princess

During the Galactic Civil War, Uwa Pareece, an Alderaanian, made her home on the planet of Naboo. There, she supervised a group of musicians known as the Melodic Order. Pareece and the musicians performed at Club Deeja, situated in the city of Keren. As part of the Melodic Order's vow, they avoided contact with anyone who wasn't Alderaanian. This isolation was intended to preserve the cultural integrity of their music. They performed using hologram technology, but maintained in-person contact with Pareece. Following the Galactic Empire's destruction of Alderaan, Pareece decided to keep this information from the Melodic Order, hoping to ensure their continued performances. Mul Sanaka, the owner of Club Deeja, supported this decision, as it helped maintain the club's profits and the enjoyment of its patrons.

Pareece witnesses the arrival of Organa's shuttle arrive in the Marina District of Keren.

After the Battle of Yavin, Princess Leia Organa, the last surviving member of Alderaan's ruling family, embarked on a mission to find and rescue the Alderaanians who had survived the planet's destruction, as the Empire was actively hunting them down. Organa journeyed to Naboo in search of the Melodic Order. Upon arriving at the club, she introduced herself as First Minister Solo of the Empire. However, Sanaka recognized her true identity and her purpose on Naboo. Sanaka and his security personnel attempted to attack Organa, but she and her companions, Evaan Verlaine and the astromech droid R2-D2, defended themselves. Sanaka nearly succeeded in killing Organa, but Pareece intervened, using the stun setting on her Satine's Lament blaster pistol to knock Sanaka unconscious.

Pareece explained to Organa her reasons for keeping the truth from the Melodic Order, before gathering the musicians and informing them of the tragic event. The princess encouraged the group not to blame Pareece, but to join her in the effort to rescue their fellow Alderaanians. Pareece and the Melodic Order agreed to join the princess, and they departed for the volcanic planet Sullust in the Outer Rim in order to locate more survivors.

Trouble on Sullust and Espirion and Skaradosh

The Alderaanians soon made their way to the Sullust system, where Organa, Verlaine and R2-D2 used the T-1 shuttle to land on Sullust and bring the population of the Alderaan Enclave into Organa's group. Pareece, who was now the captain of the Lord Junn, remained in orbit above the planet until Organa contacted her from the enclave. Organa instructed her to jump into hyperspace because their position had been compromised to the Empire, who had dispatched an Imperial Sentinel-class landing craft to attack the enclave. Pareece and the ship's pilot went into hiding with the ship. However, they soon returned to Sullust, to help evacuate the enclave along with the Sullustan smuggler Nien Nunb and his ship, the Mellcrawler.

Some days later, the last of the Alderaanians were successfully evacuated. Therefore, the Lord Junn was moved to orbit above the planet Espirion. At that time, Astane accused Tace of treason because she had been the one who had betrayed their position to the Empire—Tace had told her sister, Tula, about her experiences with Organa. Tula was stationed aboard an Imperial Star Destroyer, and had reported her findings to her commander, Dreed, who had launched the assault. Organa took control of the situation and freed Tace, so Pareece went to prepare for the reunification talks on Espirion. Alderaanians had emigrated to Espirion many generations before Pareece's birth and had interbred with the native red-skinned Espirions, creating a new hybrid species: The Alder-Espirions. The Alder-Espirion's leader, Chief Beon Beonel had agreed to meet with Organa to discuss reunifying his people with Organa's, and using the large Espirion military to defend against the Empire if it attacked. However, Organa had become involved in Tace's predicament, so she assigned Pareece to represent her, with Astane as Pareece's co-emissary.

Pareece and Astane then traveled to an Espirion city and met with Beonel's assistant, Consul Rill. Rill expressed his sadness over Alderaan's destruction, and then introduced them to Beonel. However, Beonel quickly realized he was not welcome by all—Astane was disgusted that Beonel was only half Alderaanian and made no attempt to hide her feelings. Pareece was equally shocked at Astane's racist views and tried to fix the situation by assuring the chief that not all of Organa's people thought the way Astane did. Pareece ordered Astane to apologize, but she refused, causing Beonel to say that the had nothing left discuss, and he left. Pareece, Astane and Rill went to Rill's office, where Pareece pleaded with him that the misunderstanding did not need to destroy the reunification talks. Rill said the chief had made his decision, and it wouldn't change. Pareece had become desperate and begged Rill to tell Beonel that Organa would come personally to talk, which would prove that Organa did care, and that she was not bigoted like Astane.

Defeated, the pair soon left to return to the Lord Junn, but came across Beonel, who was piloting an airspeeder, again. Pareece attempted to converse with him, but he refused, so, at Astane's urging, they left the planet. Upon returning to their flagship, they were met by an entire fleet of Alderaanian ships, which had arrived to assist Organa in her mission to reunify the people of Alderaan. Shortly after, the fleet traveled to the desert planet Skaradosh, where Organa and Verlaine had just rescued Tula from execution by the Empire and killed Dreed—with the help of Nien Nunb. Tace shaved her head so that she would not be mistaken for her sister, Tula, who had committed treason.

Dreed's Star Destroyer, which was now commanded by Venk, was determined to destroy the Alderaanian fleet, so Organa, Pareece, and Astane gathered to discuss their next steps. Pareece informed the princess that the negotiations with Beonel had failed, meaning they had no weapon capable of harming the Imperial-class Star Destroyer without the Espirion fleet. Astane admitted that it was her fault, which angered Organa, and she asked everyone to leave her. Soon after, Organa gave a speech to the fleet, asking them to fight even though they had no chance of winning. The Imperial warship then arrived and engaged the fleet. However, Beonel heard Organa's speech and was touched by her sincerity, so he sent the Espirion Multi, an Espirion battleship, which quickly destroyed the Star Destroyer. A celebration was held aboard the Lord Junn after, where the Melodic Order performed in person, and Pareece thanked the Espirion Multi's female captain, before asking Beonel if he was worried that the Empire would retaliate against Espirion. He replied that they had nothing powerful enough to challenge the Espirion military.

After the celebration ended, Organa returned to the Rebel Alliance to continue the war against the Emperor's tyranny, and endorsed Verlaine as a steward to the throne until she returned. Later, Pareece, Astane, Beonel and Verlaine led the Alderaanian fleet from the Lord Junn in search of a planet to colonize; a "new Alderaan."
