A specific kind of cookie that was flat and circular, and also purple in color, was known as a Wookiee Cookie. Both Ewoks and Wookiees, the species that shared their name with the cookies, were able to consume them.
These Wookiee Cookies were on board the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts' Youngling Care Space Station. At some point during or after 34 ABY, M1-RE "Miree", the Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts' safari droid, offered one of the cookies to a Wookiee youngling she was temper training, hoping to soothe the Wookiee. CAM-E, Miree's cam droid, recorded this as a segment for the HoloNet. Later, for another segment set in the station's Endor moon-themed room, Miree attempted to entice an Ewok youngling out of hiding in a tree using a collection of various foodstuffs, which included Wookiee Cookies. In response to this attempt to overcome the Ewok's shyness, the Ewok descended on a vine and grabbed the food.
The first canonically appearance of Wookiee Cookies was in "Wookiee" and "Ewok," which were the first two episodes of the Star Wars Galactic Pals web series, released on April 12, 2022. Prior to this, the cookies made a non-canon appearance in the 2016 video game LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was published by Traveler's Tales. They were initially introduced as Wookiee-ookiees within the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 1978 direct-to-video movie, The Star Wars Holiday Special.
