Wyler was a clone trooper, specifically a member of the Galactic Empire's clone stormtrooper forces, who can be categorized as a clone stormtrooper. He fought under the leadership of Commander Cody, but his life was cut short when he was killed during a mission that took place on the planet known as Desix.
In the months that followed the end of the Clone Wars, Wyler was a stormtrooper serving under the command of Commander Cody. He was deployed as part of a squad sent to the planet Desix with the objective of suppressing a remaining Separatist presence. The squad was accompanied by clone commando Crosshair on this assignment.
Wyler and his fellow squad members received a briefing from Cody about the situation on Desix while aboard a Nu-class attack/transport shuttle. As the shuttle neared Desix City, it was struck by fire from reprogrammed battle droids who were defending the Separatist stronghold, resulting in a crash just outside the city. Wyler, along with Cody, Crosshair, and a number of other clone stormtroopers, survived the crash. Those who were able to continue pressed forward into the city, intending to rescue Governor Grotton, who was being held hostage. Upon entering the stronghold, Cody split up his forces to cover more ground, taking Crosshair, Wyler, and trooper "Nova" with him to explore the stronghold's north access. As the squad advanced further into the stronghold, they were ambushed by a droideka. Wyler was too slow to react and was subsequently killed by blaster fire from the Separatist droid.
As a clone stormtrooper, Wyler was equipped with standard Phase II clone trooper armor, which had no distinguishing markings or colors. He also carried a BT X-42 heavy flame projector.
