Xelian, alternatively referred to as Xelian the Destroyer, existed as a Human female Sith during the era known as the Republic Dark Age. She was one of seven offspring of the Sith Lord Vilia Calimondra, and Xelian engaged in combat within a conflict among her siblings, with the purpose of determining which sibling would inherit the position of their mother's successor. Furthermore, Xelian was the parent of two children, named Odion and Daiman, and her inclination towards Daiman over his brother resulted in the development of a competitive relationship between the two. Ultimately, Xelian's brother Chagras emerged as the victor in Calimondra's competition, and Xelian met her demise.

Xelian, sometimes called by the name "Xelian the Destroyer," was a Human female Sith Lord who lived in the Republic Dark Age. She was one of seven children of Vilia Calimondra, a Sith Lord who had gained a large empire in the Grumani sector, and Xelian sought to become her mother's sole heir. However, Xelian's brother Chagras and her other five siblings also wanted to be the heir, so Calimondra started a competition—the Charge Matrica—in 1066 BBY, to decide which of her children would become her heir. The siblings were tasked with expanding Calimondra's holdings, and the Sith Lord planned to name as her heir the one who expanded her territories the most. For a period of time, Xelian and her siblings worked together, but Xelian's efforts began to fail. Because of this, she declared war on Chagras, which led to all of the siblings fighting each other. To help her campaign, Xelian had her armies use a version of the Crucible training system, which was created by the ancient Sith Lord Ieldis before the Great Hyperspace War. She also set up a headquarters for herself, inside a structure that resembled a temple.
At some point, Xelian had a son, Odion, who became her heir. In 1057 BBY, she had another child, named Daiman, and after he was born, she stood on a rocky area next to her temple and held up her new baby for her followers to see. Daiman soon became Xelian's favorite, and a sibling rivalry began between the two brothers. Xelian also became an aunt to Chagras' children, Dromika, Quillan, and Arkadia Calimondra. In 1052 BBY, Xelian seduced the old Sith Lord Mandragall and then killed him during the night. By 1050 BBY, Chagras was the only one of Calimondra's children still active in the Grumani sector, and he became their mother's heir. Xelian died before 1032 BBY.
Xelian had light skin and dark hair. She liked her son Daiman more than her oldest child Odion, thinking Daiman was pretty and Odion was ugly. The mercenary leader Jarrow Rusher considered Xelian to be a terrible person.
Xelian sometimes wore red robes. When showing Daiman to her followers, she wore a black outfit with a red cape and gold boots.
Xelian was first mentioned in the 2011 novel Knight Errant, by John Jackson Miller. She was first shown in a flashback in the thirteenth issue of the Star Wars: Knight Errant comic-book series, which was also written by Miller, drawn by Marco Castiello, and released on August 8, 2012.
