Yaga Minor, an industrialized planet, was situated in the Outer Rim Territories and served as a location for shipyards. Furthermore, it housed a base belonging to the Ubiqtorate, which was the intelligence division of the Galactic Empire's military.
An industrialized planet, Yaga Minor was to be found where the Outer Rim Territories and the New Territories intersected. Its position on the Standard Galactic Grid was K-5, and it was linked via hyperspace route to both Borosk and Entralla.
During the time when the Galactic Empire reigned, Yaga Minor was home to some shipyards and a base for the Ubiqtorate, the Empire's military intelligence arm. The Ubiqtorate base on Yaga Minor maintained records concerning Star Destroyers manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards that were stationed there.
In 14 BBY, members of the Free Ryloth Movement, a rebel cell headed by the Twi'lek named Pok, hijacked an Imperial weapons shipment located at the Yaga Minor shipyards before escaping into hyperspace. Captain Luitt of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Perilous reported this incident to Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, who then pursued and slaughtered Pok and his entire crew.
By 5 ABY, during the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the New Republic, Yaga Minor became a war zone. Before a meeting began aboard the Quasar Fire-class cruiser-carrier Aerie, a high-ranking member of the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing referred to the attacks on Yaga Minor as suicidal during discussions among those present.
During the time of the New Republic, Yaga Minor eventually fell under the official control of the First Order. In 35 ABY, the historian Beaumont Kin made reference to several documents sourced from Yaga Minor in his book titled The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire.
Yaga Minor's initial mention occurred in the 2015 novel Lords of the Sith, penned by Paul S. Kemp. Within Star Wars Legends, the first reference to Yaga Minor was in the 1992 novel Dark Force Rising, authored by Timothy Zahn, before its initial appearance in Zhan's 1997 novel Specter of the Past, which served as the opening volume in the Star Wars: The Hand of Thrawn Duology trilogy. In the 1998 video game Star Wars: Rebellion by Coolhand Interactive, a standard planet image was employed to represent Yaga Minor, alongside other planets.
