Oultovar Misk was a captain in the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. In 5 ABY, commanded the freighter Diamond Tor in a convoy that operated under the protection of the Yomo Council, a faction which had broken away from the Empire. However, the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, which sought to purge breakaway factions attacked Misk's convoy at the Midgor star system, leaving it crippled. When a New Republic starfighter wing came across the convoy, Misk contacted the Wing Commander Wyl Lark, surrendering and requesting assistance. He later provided information on the 204th's activity to the New Republic.
During the Galactic Civil War, Oultovar Misk served in the navy of the Galactic Empire, eventually holding the rank of captain. By 5 ABY, he commanded the freighter Diamond Tor in a convoy that operated under the protection of the Yomo Council, a faction based at the planet Fedovoi End which broke off from the Empire after its splintering following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. That year, Misk's convoy encountered the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing—a unit which was carrying out a string of genocides on Imperial breakaway factions for of the Empire's loyalist forces—in the Midgor star system in the Croynar sector. The 204th's TIE/ln space superiority starfighters damaged the Diamond Tor and dismantled its escorts within minutes before moving on.
Misk's convoy was left crippled, but was soon encountered by a New Republic starfighter wing, which had come to the Croynar sector in search of the 204th. As Wing Commander Wyl Lark made a flyby of the convoy, Misk called over the comm channel, seeking assistance and surrendering what was left of his convoy. When Lark asked what had happened to the convoy, the captain summarized the 204th's attack. The commander questioned what brought the attackers to do what they did, which led Misk to weep, describing the Imperial against Imperial warfare which had spawned.
Lark gave an all clear for the refitted New Republic Star Destroyer to travel to Midgor and had his three squadrons help the survivors from Misk's convoy. Misk provided insight to General Hera Syndulla that suggested three planets had fallen to the 204th's crusade: Dybbron III, Kortatka, and Fedovoi End.
A male individual, Oultovar Misk surrendered his convoy to the New Republic in order to receive aid after a crippling attack. He was distraught at the way the Galactic Civil War had evolved into Imperial against Imperial situations and weapt when explaining such to Wyl Lark.
Oultovar Misk appeared by voice in the 2021 novel Victory's Price, written by Alexander Freed.
