Port Yonder

Port Yonder, sometimes referred to as simply Yonder, was a celestial body of the terrestrial type. In the High Republic Era, former Tempest Runner Pan Eyta of the Nihil marauders, having been subjected to poison by Marchion Ro, the Eye of the Nihil, in 231 BBY, located a less-than-sanitary medical professional on Port Yonder who furnished him with a ventilator to ensure his survival. Later in that same year, Eyta made reference to the medic he found on Port Yonder while in a confrontation with fellow Tempest Runner Lourna Dee on the planet of Arbra.

During the Imperial Era, the smuggler known as Han Solo had an encounter with someone on Port Yonder, who spoke of the trader Bralem Mopak, who was known for selling members of the Hoojib species as if they were mere animals on Arbra. Sometime between approximately 5 BBY and 0 BBY, Solo recounted the man's statements to his companion, the Wookiee Chewbacca, as they considered acquiring a Hoojib for the crime lord Jabba the Hutt in hopes of earning his favor.

Behind the scenes

The initial mention of Port Yonder occurred in the audio drama The High Republic: Tempest Runner, penned by Cavan Scott, which was released on August 31, 2021 as a component of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multi-platform project. The spelling of the location's name was verified in the comic narrative "The Hoojib Menace," also authored by Scott, and published in the annual issue for that year of IDW Publishing's 2020 Star Wars Adventures series on November 24, 2021.
