Denaria Kee, a Koorivar female, held the positions of Chief Aide and personal assistant to Passel Argente, who was the Magistrate of the Corporate Alliance. In the year 22 BBY, she and Argente were present at a secret summit on the planet Geonosis. It was there that Argente, along with other corporate leaders, pledged their allegiance to the Separatist cause led by Count Dooku. Shortly after this pledge, the Galactic Republic launched an attack on Geonosis, which marked the beginning of the Clone Wars.
In 19 BBY, Kee accompanied Argente when he and the rest of the Separatist Council were dispatched to the planet Mustafar. She was there when Darth Sidious, the Separatist leader, contacted the council, instructing them to await the arrival of his apprentice, Darth Vader. Upon Vader's arrival, he launched an attack on the council under Sidious's orders, fatally stabbing Kee in the chest with his lightsaber just before he eliminated Argente.
Born on Kooriva, Denaria Kee, a Koorivar female, attained a prominent position within the Corporate Alliance. She was selected to serve as the Chief Aide and personal assistant to Magistrate Passel Argente, the head of the Alliance and also a Koorivar. Argente preferred to entrust his business dealings and illicit activities to a member of his own species rather than someone from another species. Kee's responsibilities as an aide included drafting documents, sending clandestine communications, and organizing Argente's meetings.
During the Separatist Crisis of 22 BBY, former Jedi Count Dooku spearheaded a movement seeking secession from the Galactic Republic. Argente and Kee attended a secret summit led by Dooku in the Stalgasin hive on Geonosis. During this gathering, Kee stood near Wat Tambor, the Foreman of the Techno Union, as various corporate leaders pledged their allegiance to Dooku. Argente readily committed the Alliance to Dooku's cause, relinquishing his position as the Alliance's senator in the Republic's Senate. Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi had been spying on the meeting and informed the Republic, who arrived on Geonosis shortly thereafter. This led to a battle between the Republic and the Separatists, which signaled the commencement of the Clone Wars.
During the Clone Wars, Argente served on the Separatist Council. In 19 BBY, Kee accompanied Argente to the Klegger Corp Mining Facility on Mustafar after the council's transfer from Utapau during a Republic attack. As Darth Sidious, the true leader of the Separatists, contacted the council via hologram, she stood at a console in the facility's boardroom. Sidious instructed them to await the arrival of his apprentice, Darth Vader.
The council members, believing the war was progressing as planned, were taken by surprise when Vader attacked them upon reaching Mustafar. Vader, under orders from Sidious to eliminate the council, killed everyone in the room, impaling Kee with his lightsaber before killing Argente.
Denaria Kee typically wore Koorivar clothing. For the summit on Geonosis, she wore a lilac matron's hood along with lilac and dark purple shimmerbird tongue robes. On Mustafar, she wore a dark red outfit that complemented Argente's attire.
John McEvoy portrayed Denaria Kee in her debut appearance in the 2002 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. Her death scene in the 2005 sequel, Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, was filmed on Stage 7 at Fox Studios, Sydney on September 8, 2003.
Early set photos and reference sheets for Attack of the Clones reveal that during production, Kee was initially referred to as "Twink Kee," a play on the name of the popular Twinkie pastry.
