Grogu's chainmail shirt

Din Grogu's beskar chainmail shirt was made for the Mandalorian foundling Din Grogu by the Armorer, commissioned by the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin in the years following the Galactic Civil War. After Jedi Master Luke Skywalker gave him the armor, Grogu had to choose between the armor and Yoda's second lightsaber, which represented becoming a Jedi, or giving in to his attachment and going back to Djarin. In the end, Grogu picked the chainmail and chose to go back to Din Djarin.

History

A rondel was placed on Grogu's armor.

At the request of Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, the Armorer made Grogu's chainmail shirt in 9 ABY using Djarin's beskar spear. It was packaged as a gift for Djarin to give to the Mandalorian foundling Grogu. When Djarin got to Grogu, former Jedi Ahsoka Tano stopped him from seeing him. Tano took the gift and later gave it to Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, who presented the armor as part of a choice for Grogu. Grogu then had to decide whether to choose the armor and give in to his attachment, or Yoda's lightsaber and the path of a Jedi. Luke also told him that it would take Grogu many years to train in the Force, and that he might never see Djarin again because his species and humans have different lifespans. In the end, Grogu chose the chainmail and decided to return to Din Djarin.

Later, after a training session, the Armorer made a rondel with a mudhorn signet for Grogu from leftover beskar that other Mandalorians had left for foundlings. While sitting by the Forge, Grogu remembered surviving Order 66 with Kelleran Beq's help.
