Historical Account

Deception's Guise

Naare, the owner of the Eclipse Fighter

After the Battle of Hoth, Naare, the Imperial Sith agent, employed the Eclipse Fighter for transit between Nal Kapok and the Freemakers' workshop located at the Wheel space station in the Abrion system. Earlier, she had feigned being a Jedi and induced Rowan Freemaker, who was Force-sensitive, to undertake a quest to assemble the Kyber Saber. Naare successfully gained the Freemakers' confidence by rescuing them from Imperial forces.

Subsequently, Naare piloted the Eclipse Fighter to the Belgaroth asteroid field in pursuit of Rowan and his B1-series battle droid Roger, who were searching for the second Kyber Saber crystal. She was accompanied by Rowan's siblings, Zander and Kordi Freemaker, traveling aboard the StarScavenger freighter. After docking at Graballa's, the Hutt crime syndicate's ore mining facility, the trio ascended to Graballa's flagship, the Rancor's Fist. Following their escape from Graballa, Naare returned to the Eclipse Fighter and nearly obliterated the StarScavenger in a moment of fury. However, she reconsidered when Rowan discovered the second Kyber crystal in space.

Later, Naare utilized the Eclipse Fighter to reach the Imperial Star Destroyer Vendetta (Vendetta) to aid Rowan and Kordi in rescuing Zander, who had been apprehended while recklessly piloting his N-1 starfighter. She secured permission to land on the Star Destroyer by providing her clearance code. She also employed the Fighter to return to the Freemaker Garage after Zander's rescue. Afterward, Naare piloted the Eclipse Fighter to Cloud City on Bespin, suspecting Rowan was seeking the third Kyber Saber crystal. However, the "lost treasure" turned out to be the rebel Lando Calrissian's cape.

Naare later secretly journeyed to the Imperial Palace on Coruscant for a performance evaluation with her superiors, Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Following the evaluation, she returned to the Wheel. Upon receiving a distress signal from the Freemakers on Tatooine, Naare flew the Eclipse Fighter there, rescuing them from Graballa and his subordinates. While concealed within Naare's starfighter, Rowan discovered Naare's Sith lightsaber and a holographic message from Palpatine instructing her to employ greater force against the Freemakers, confirming his suspicions of her Sith affiliation.

The Kyber Saber Pursuit

After the Freemakers escaped their garage aboard the StarScavenger, Naare pursued them in her Eclipse Fighter. She successfully tracked them through the dense traffic, inflicting damage to the ship's deflector shields and quantum regulator. However, Zander managed to shear off the wings of her damaged starfighter. Naare returned to the Freemaker Garage in her crippled ship, only to be confronted by Graballa. When Graballa revealed his intention to use the Kyber Saber crystals to finance his beachfront resort and buffet, Naare agreed to share the crystals if his men repaired her ship.

Utilizing Roger's transmission pack as a homing beacon, Naare and Graballa managed to seize the fourth, fifth, and sixth Kyber Saber crystals from Rowan on the planets Takodana, Ningoth, and Naboo. Naare piloted the Eclipse Fighter on both Takodana and Ningoth, supported by the overwhelming firepower of Graballa's ship, the Rancor's Fist. On Ningoth, the Freemakers attempted to submerge Naare's fighter using their submarine, the Bubbly Subbly. However, she managed to steal the fifth crystal before the StarScavenger could seal its cargo door. The ship's engines were damaged by seawater, and Graballa reluctantly agreed to cover the repair costs.

Later, on the planet Zoh, Naare's Eclipse Fighter and Graballa's Rancor's Fist raced the Freemaker's StarScavenger to Hoth, where the seventh and final Kyber Saber crystal was hidden. Upon entering Hoth's atmosphere, the Eclipse Fighter was caught in a blizzard. Using the Force, Naare pierced through the storm and continued her pursuit of the Freemakers' ship. However, she, the Rancor's Fist, and Dengar's (bounty hunter) starfighter collided with the mountain. Despite the damage, the Eclipse Fighter remained operational and participated in the assault on the Freemakers at Echo Base. Naare successfully shot down Zander and Rowan's snowspeeder only to be downed by Kordi and Roger's AT-AT walker.

Illusions of Power

Despite sustaining damage on Hoth, Naare managed to use the Eclipse Fighter to travel to the Wheel with Graballa's forces. She employed the starfighter to intercept Kordi and Zander's escape after Graballa and his henchmen breached the front entrance. Upon learning that the battle droid Roger possessed knowledge of the last Kyber Saber crystal's location, she stole his head and departed the Freemaker Garage in her starfighter. Piloting the Eclipse Fighter, Naare journeyed to the uncharted world and reforged the Kyber Saber. After being insulted by the Emperor, Naare decided to betray her Sith master and proclaim herself as Empress.

Flying the Eclipse Fighter to Coruscant, Naare wrought havoc, destroying numerous TIE fighters and Imperial assault cruisers. Naare utilized her starfighter's cannons to obliterate the fighters before exiting the cockpit and destroying more starships using the Kyber Saber. She subsequently destroyed two Imperial Star Destroyers single-handedly with her Force abilities. Naare then flew the Eclipse Fighter down to the Imperial Palace, parked it, discarded Roger's head, and proceeded to confront the Emperor. Ultimately, Naare was defeated, Roger was rescued, and the Kyber Saber was destroyed by Rowan.
