Imperial labor camp

The Imperial labor camp, situated on the planet of Erebus, functioned as a labor camp under the authority of the Galactic Empire. This installation comprised both a substantial walled-off prison complex and a mining facility, where the inmates were compelled to perform hard labor. Notably, in 18 BBY, the facility housed individuals such as the disgraced former Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart, who was incarcerated due to his exposure as being involved in the attack on Kamino. The camp was under the command of a warden. During that period, Clone Force 99 executed an infiltration of the facility. They hijacked one of the HCVw A9 turbo tanks used for transporting prisoners and successfully extracted Rampart, aiming to obtain the location of Tantiss Base from him.

Description

The fortified gate of the labor camp perimeter

Overseen by the Galactic Empire, the Imperial labor camp was a prison established on the planet Erebus. The primary structure was a formidable walled fortress, distinguished by a towering tower and a single gate utilized by the HCVw A9 turbo tanks which served as prisoner transports. A heavily guarded route connected the prison to a mining operation located on the banks of a lake. Prisoners toiled here in shifts, enduring harsh conditions. Security around the prison was maintained through retractable roadblocks and observation towers. In the event of an incident, several Low Altitude Assault Transports manned by TK stormtroopers stood ready to respond, while scouts continuously patrolled the grounds to prevent attacks. Mined resources were transported off-world using class four container transports under the escort of Rho-class transport shuttles.

History

In the year 18 BBY, Imperial Navy Vice Admiral Edmon Rampart faced arrest after Senator Riyo Chuchi revealed his involvement in the attack on Kamino. This revelation led to his disgrace and subsequent sentencing by the Galactic Emperor himself, Sheev Palpatine. Following his arrest, Rampart was sent to the Erebus prison to serve his sentence as a forced laborer.

Later that same year, Clone Force 99 infiltrated the facility. This occurred after the Advanced Science Division located them on the island sanctuary of Pabu and invaded the city, compelling Omega to surrender. Given the unknown location of Tantiss Base, where she was taken, Force 99 decided to extract Rampart for interrogation to learn the coordinates. They planned an infiltration of Erebus with the assistance of pirate Phee Genoa. After successfully navigating the site's perimeter, Hunter, Wrecker, and Crosshair boarded the transport carrying Rampart at the end of his shift. They subdued the TK stormtroopers operating the vehicle and took control. However, the warden discovered the deception and dispatched another Juggernaut, Transport Two, to intercept and destroy their transport before it crossed the bridge to the prison grounds. The Bad Batch managed to disable the Imperial transport and breach the bridge's defenses, escaping the perimeter into a canyon. There, they faced an attack by LAATs that deployed TK troopers onto the transport's roof. With the help of Genoa and her ship, the Providence, the Bad Batch managed to evade the troopers and successfully escaped Erebus with Rampart.
