Faazah operated as a crime lord and smuggler of the Sugi species during the Imperial Era. His base of operations was the planet of Murkhana. At one point, he was allied with the Sith Lord Darth Vader, who had previously eliminated Faazah's Black Sun predecessor. As a powerful crime boss, Faazah maintained a sizable harem, fathered many children, and commanded a large force of bodyguards alongside numerous battle droids.
In the year 14 BBY, Faazah facilitated the smuggling of fuel cells that ultimately ended up in the possession of the rebel Berch Teller and his group. These individuals then used the fuel cells to steal Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's personal corvette, the Carrion Spike. Subsequently, Darth Vader and Tarkin compelled Faazah to surrender his personal starship, the Parsec Predator, so they could pursue Teller through space. To punish Faazah for making them wait, Vader used the Force choke technique, resulting in his death. Following this, the Imperial forces massacred Faazah's subordinates.
During the Imperial Era, the Sugi crime lord known as Faazah resided on Murkhana. After the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Faazah made an arrangement with Darth Vader to assassinate his predecessor and persuade Black Sun to leave Murkhana for "safer territories." This action earned Faazah the respect of Lord Vader. In his role as a crime lord, Faazah had many wives and offspring. He also commanded a large contingent of Sugi guards and several repurposed battle droids. Additionally, Faazah possessed a starship named the Parsec Predator.

In 14 BBY, Faazah engaged in a transaction with a lieutenant from the Crymorah Syndicate to import a shipment of specialized fuel cells. This arrangement was facilitated by Knotts, a human information broker from Lantillies who was associated with Berch Teller, a former Republic Intelligence officer turned rebel leader. These fuel cells were a crucial part of Teller and his followers' scheme to steal Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's personal corvette, the Carrion Spike, to conduct an insurgent campaign against the Galactic Empire.
Following the theft of the Carrion Spike, Lord Vader and Moff Tarkin paid a visit to Faazah's throne room, where they were escorted by Faazah's guards. Faazah informed the Sith Lord that the only reason he allowed him entry was to express gratitude for eliminating his rival. Vader commented on Faazah's insolence, comparing it to that of his predecessor, to which Faazah responded by boasting about his advantage. Vader disagreed, and Faazah sarcastically inquired about their intentions to commandeer the Parsec Predator to pursue the thieves who had stolen the Carrion Spike.
Tarkin then acknowledged their numerical disadvantage and suggested that Faazah comply with Lord Vader's request. Lord Vader then introduced Faazah to Moff Tarkin, the governor of Greater Seswenna. Despite acknowledging his guests' high-ranking Imperial status, Faazah joked about doing the galaxy a service by eliminating them. Tarkin suggested that alternatives to force existed, but Faazah stated his unwillingness to give up his starship. Tarkin then activated a portable holoprojector and contacted Sergeant Crest, who informed Lord Vader that his men had seized Faazah's weapons warehouse.

Faazah was hesitant to exchange his warehouse for his starship until Tarkin revealed that his forces had also apprehended Faazah's wives and children, emphasizing his attachment to them. To protect his family, Faazah reluctantly relinquished the Parsec Predator to the two Imperials. Tarkin then demanded the necessary launch codes and an order for his subordinates to evacuate the landing field. When Vader instructed Sergeant Crest to transport Faazah's family to the landing field, Faazah pleaded for their safety. Tarkin reassured him that they "would survive you."
After Sergeant Crest secured the Parsec Predator and its launch codes, Lord Vader retaliated against the crime lord for making them wait. Lord Vader killed Faazah by using the Force choke technique, crushing his windpipe. Imperial stormtroopers then launched an assault on the crime lord's headquarters, surprising Faazah's subordinates with flash grenades and blasters. Vader personally eliminated Faazah's Sugi followers and battle droids using his lightsaber. Aboard the Parsec Predator, Vader and Tarkin pursued the stolen Carrion Spike. Although they successfully tracked the insurgents to Galidraan Station, an ion cannon from the Carrion Spike disabled Faazah's ship.
Faazah was a male Sugi who communicated in heavily accented Galactic Basic Standard. He was a crime lord whose specialties included smuggling and arms trafficking. Faazah considered Darth Vader an ally due to his elimination of Faazah's Black Sun rival. However, he was also willing to engage with insurgent elements, such as the information broker Knotts, who was affiliated with Berch Teller's rebel cell. Faazah aided the insurgents in stealing Tarkin's corvette, the Carrion Spike, by providing the necessary fuel cells to maintain its operation.
Lord Vader viewed Faazah as being as insolent as his predecessor. Faazah placed his faith in numerical superiority but underestimated the ruthlessness and strategic brilliance of Lord Vader and Moff Tarkin. Vader ultimately killed Faazah after the latter had served his purpose to the Sith Lord.
Faazah made an appearance in James Luceno's 2014 canon novel, Tarkin.
