Following his passing in the final battle of the war for control of Coruscant, which ultimately led to his death, a funeral service took place on the planet for Roan Fel, the previous Emperor. Fel's brother-in-law, Hogrum Chalk, gave the eulogy, with representatives from the Fel Empire, the Galactic Alliance, and the Jedi Order present. Even though Chalk had opposed Fel during the conflict, he praised the deceased emperor, portraying him as a valiant figure who died fighting to free the galaxy from Darth Krayt, the One Sith, and their Galactic Empire. Chalk strategically omitted details about Fel's descent to the dark side of the Force for political reasons. Consequently, he failed to mention Fel's willingness to sacrifice the lives of the Empire's allies, including billions of innocent civilians, who were battling the Sith forces on Coruscant.
After celebrating Roan Fel's life in his address, Chalk also gave the former emperor credit for the war's outcome, specifically the creation of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate. Marasiah Fel, Roan's only offspring and the Empire's first Empress regnant, joined Admiral Gar Stazi of the Galactic Alliance and Jedi Master K'Kruhk of the Jedi Order as the triumvirs of the recently formed organization.
