The Halls of Healing represented a substantial portion of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Nestled in the southwest quarter of the temple complex, these Halls served as the primary location for healing and rejuvenating the lives of injured Jedi Order members. Within the Halls, the Medical Corps operated a well-equipped infirmary, boasting over one hundred of the most advanced bacta tanks available in the galaxy.
Throughout the numerous expansions and renovations of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant over its four-thousand-year history, the Halls of Healing were integrated into the structure. Although initially destroyed during the Sacking of Coruscant by the newly emerged Sith Empire in 3653 BBY, the wing was rebuilt by 1000 BBY.
The Halls of Healing welcomed all Jedi Order members requiring medical attention, from minor scrapes and bruises sustained in training exercises to severe injuries incurred during missions for the Jedi High Council. Staffed by Jedi specializing in the art of healing, the Halls' operations were overseen by the Circle, which appointed a Chief Healer to manage daily tasks. Healers in the main hall used their abilities with the Force and healing objects like crystals and amulets to aid in the recovery of injured Jedi. With the establishment of the Medical Corps, the Halls expanded to include an infirmary, a major operating room, and a ward dedicated to bacta tanks.
Following the Ruusan Reformation, with centuries passing without large-scale conflicts, the Halls of Healing rarely operated at full capacity. However, after the Battle of Geonosis, the Halls were overwhelmed, filled to near capacity with wounded Jedi. While some required intensive care, most received basic treatment and recovered within days. In the aftermath of the battle, Chief Healer Vokara Che had to pacify an irate Galactic Senator Padmé Amidala, who demanded to see Padawan Anakin Skywalker. Due to the Padawan's serious injuries, Madame Che denied her request and asked her to leave. Refusing to comply, the senator was eventually calmed by Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. Madame Che reported the incident to Grand Master Yoda, who later dispatched Jedi Kenobi to request that Amidala refrain from interfering in Jedi affairs. Throughout the Clone Wars, the Halls remained consistently full, treating Jedi wounded in the devastating battles that tore the galaxy apart.

During the height of the war, Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith operating under the guise of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, ordered the Jedi Temple to be raided due to an alleged coup attempt by the Order. The 501st Legion of the Grand Army of the Republic marched into the Temple, massacring all Jedi present. Led by Darth Vader, the clone troopers destroyed the Halls of Healing, killing all healers and patients within. Abandoned for decades, the Halls of Healing remained in ruins throughout most of the Galactic Civil War and were ultimately destroyed during the Yuuzhan Vong War.
After the Galactic Alliance reclaimed the capital world, Chief of State Cal Omas donated land for a new Jedi Temple to the Order, which was constructed by the Reconstruction Authority. Using blueprints recovered from the lost Temple Archives, the complex was rebuilt, and the Halls of Healing were restored to serve the wounded once again. Under the guidance of Chief Healer Cilghal, the Halls functioned as they had for millennia. In 43 ABY, the Halls became a refuge for victims of a mysterious disease affecting young Jedi Knights. Valin Horn was the first to be admitted to the neurology ward in an attempt to understand his mental breakdown. However, before a complete study could be conducted, Horn attacked his nurse, Romor, and escaped the Temple. Without their patient, the healers could not continue their research. Weeks later, the secret Jedi group Darkmeld captured Seff Hellin, a Knight suffering from the same condition, unbeknownst to most healers. With the help of healer Tekli, Darkmeld moved Hellin to a lower-level storage hall, allowing Cilghal to continue her study. As more Jedi became infected, the Chief Healer confessed to housing four ill Jedi at the Temple. Because Natasi Daala, the Chief of State, had issued warrants for the arrest of the insane Jedi, Cilghal was breaking the law and felt compelled to inform Interim Grand Master Kenth Hamner of her actions. Incensed, Hamner demanded that they be immediately handed over to the Galactic Alliance. However, before this could happen, Knight Leia Organa Solo abducted all four patients and transported them to the Jedi facility on Shedu Maad.
The Halls of Healing, located in the southwest quarter of the Jedi Temple, resided beneath the towering First Knowledge Spire. Situated above the detention center and on the same level as the Headquarters of the Agricultural Corps, the Halls were accessible via turbolift from anywhere in the Temple.
The Main Hall of the wing was illuminated by warm sunlight streaming through high windows, creating a soothing atmosphere complemented by blue-green floors and walls. Beds lined the Hall, providing comfort for the ill and injured as master healers attended to them. Pink stone pillars reached towards the ceiling, and small openings in the walls led to individual therapy rooms. Inside these warm, dimly lit chambers, injured Jedi rested on stone beds while healers used stones and crystals to enhance the effects of the Force. One such room housed the Healing Crystals of Fire, a highly valued treasure of the Order.

Adjacent to the Main Hall were the chambers staffed by the healers of the Medical Corps. Here, they maintained the main operating theater where injured Jedi underwent invasive surgery following missions. The large, two-story chamber featured a viewing room on the second level, providing an overhead view of the operations below. Off this hall was a chamber filled with several bacta tanks used to heal Jedi with minor injuries sustained in and around the Temple. Advanced 2-1B medical droids operated the machinery and monitored the wounded patients. While the infirmary primarily treated Jedi, a dedicated turbolift connected it to the Galactic City Medical Center, allowing the most critical patients to receive treatment from the Jedi healers.
The neurology ward in this wing was extensive, allowing healers to perform scans to detect brain damage and other ailments affecting Jedi. Additionally, the Hall was equipped with sealed atmosphere rooms that simulated various planetary environments.
The Chief Healer maintained offices in the wing to store records and meet with members of the Order to address their medical needs. An examination room adjacent to the office allowed for check-ups on fellow Jedi.
The lower-level Hall of the wing was a quiet, bare-walled area with windowless doors. Located directly beneath the Main Hall, this Hall contained two radiation storage chambers accessible only to the Chief Healer and their assistant. The smaller of the two was located behind a medical supply closet. In 43 ABY, Healer Tekli emptied this small chamber of radioactive materials and used it as the secret cell for the psychotic Seff Hellin. From here, Chief Healer Cilghal studied Hellin's condition before he was moved to the Jedi facility on Shedu Maad.
