Hareck was a male Ubese bounty hunter who had entered into marriage with Ilini, a Ubese person identifying as non-binary. After Ilini perpetrated the death of their father, Hareck aided them in concealing the corpse. This exiled pair subsequently became members of the group led by Boushh.
As a male Ubese bounty hunter, Hareck was also the husband of the non-binary Ilini. Following Ilini's act of killing their father, Hareck, believing the act justified, assisted in hiding the body. Consequently, the couple was exiled from their homeworld, Uba IV, eventually integrating into a crew of Ubese exiles under the leadership of Boushh.
Hareck showed empathy concerning Keln to Boushh's sorrow. Upon realizing that he and Ilini had encountered a group of young interns protected by Lapin Tagge rather than the Executive Board, Hareck attempted to reassure the group that he and Ilini intended no harm to the "kids." He expressed a distaste for being contracted to assassinate the TaggeCo Executive Board, considering it beneath the dignity of a bounty hunter. Furthermore, he disapproved of Brene's levity during active combat.
In addition to Ubese, Hareck possessed fluency in the Galactic Basic Standard language.
Hareck's attire consisted of tan and gray garments, featuring gray heavy pauldrons and a brown scarf worn around his neck. His helmet incorporated a yellow visor, and he was armed with a substantial double-barreled blaster rifle.
Hareck's initial appearance occurred in the Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters comic book crossover edition titled War of the Bounty Hunters – Boushh 1, authored by Alyssa Wong with artwork by David Baldeón. Following the issue's publication, Wong shared supplemental details from their script notes on Twitter, which included Hareck's he/him pronouns and observations about his personality. A subsequent tweet affirmed Hareck's male gender. The author also suggested including Hareck in lists of LGBTQ+ characters due to his relationship with Ilini.
