Uba IV, a terrestrial planet, held the fourth orbital position within the Uba system. This system resided in the Barsa sector of the Mid Rim Territories. Its location on the Standard Galactic Grid was square J-6. It served as the original homeworld for the sentient, isolationist Ubese species, including individuals such as Boushh, Ilini, Hareck, Brene, and Tans. Due to the crimes they perpetrated, these five Ubese were later exiled from their world, eventually becoming bounty hunters.
This terrestrial planet, designated Uba IV, occupied the fourth orbital slot in the Uba system, which itself was situated within the Barsa sector of the Mid Rim Territories. Its coordinates were Standard Galactic Grid square J-6. The planet's surface featured at least one grassland.

The Tagge Corporation cultivated trade routes with Uba IV over generations, maintaining a connection with the planet across an extended time period. During this era, the Ubese individuals Boushh, Ilini, Hareck, Brene, and Tans engaged in criminal activities on Uba IV. Boushh's actions resulted in the destruction of a settlement, while Ilini and Hareck committed murder against Ilini's father, concealing his body around 2 BBY. Consequently, they faced exile from Uba IV, with their identities expunged from Ubese records, leading them to adopt new identities as bounty hunters.
Around 3 ABY, the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate commissioned the five Ubese to eliminate key members of the Tagge Corporation. They infiltrated the company's ship, the Acquisitor, and following the skirmish that ensued, they ended their conflict with Domina Tagge, the head of the Tagge Corporation. Domina Tagge offered them the opportunity to return to Uba IV, leveraging the company's ties to the planet. Sometime after the Battle of Mos Espa, which occurred around 9 ABY, the Weequay pirate Hondo Ohnaka authored a book titled The Secrets of the Bounty Hunters, which included a reference to Boushh's homeworld in his dedicated entry.
Uba IV served as the original planet for the sentient Ubese species, including individuals such as Boushh, Tans, Hareck, Ilini, and Brene. Ubese society was known for its strong isolationist tendencies, with limited trade interactions with off-worlders. Domina Tagge considered it unusual to encounter Ubese individuals outside of their home planet. When an Ubese was exiled from Uba IV, their identities were erased from Ubese public records, preventing their return and reintegration into Ubese society.
Uba IV was first referenced within the new Star Wars canon through a card in the digital card trading application Star Wars: Card Trader, released in 2015. The planet's first visual appearance occurred in flashbacks featured in the one-shot comic War of the Bounty Hunters – Boushh 1, penned by Alyssa Wong, illustrated by [David Baldeón](/article/david_balde%c3%b3n], and published by Marvel Comics on September 15, 2021.
Within the Star Wars Legends continuity, Uba IV received its initial mention in Peter M. Schweighofer's 1996 roleplaying sourcebook, Shadows of the Empire Sourcebook, created for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.
