Isedwa Chuwant

Isedwa Chuwant functioned as a Senator of Abednedo, a planet, within the Galactic Senate. This Abednedo representative's service took place during the concluding decades of the High Republic Era. In the year 132 BBY, Chuwant shared developments concerning the Senate with Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh, specifically that Senator Rayencourt was gaining increased support from fellow senators and was in the process of organizing an external assessment of the Jedi Order. Following a brief discussion with Chuwant, Rwoh departed to confer with Padawan Mog Adana. Later, the Senator was a participant in a tribunal where Rwoh misled Supreme Chancellor Drellik and the other senators present, falsely implicating Jedi Master Sol in the crimes committed by the Force-sensitive assassin Mae Aniseya.

Biography

Isedwa Chuwant was an Abednedo politician who acted as a Senator for the world of Abednedo within the Galactic Republic's legislative body during the High Republic Era. Back in 132 BBY, Chuwant briefed the Mirialan Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh on the present circumstances within the Senate. They informed her that Senator Rayencourt was accumulating backing and formulating an external evaluation of the Jedi Order to be voted on by the Senate. Chuwant also mentioned that their fellow senators originating from the Expansion Region were expected to cast their votes in favor of the review.

Despite Rwoh's concerns, the Abednedo reassured her that she shouldn't be alarmed by the review, citing the Order's established history of openness with the Senate and characterizing Rayencourt as merely an ambitious senator seeking influence. Their conversation faced an interruption when Padawan Mog Adana needed to converse with Rwoh. The Jedi Master expressed her gratitude to Chuwant for the update and excused herself, deactivating the holoprojector.

Vernestra Rwoh deceived the Senate tribunal about the truth behind the murders.

Subsequently, Rwoh was summoned to appear before a Senate tribunal that was presided over by Supreme Chancellor Drellik, in which Chuwant was a participant. Rwoh reported to the tribunal that a Jedi Master by the name of Sol had become a rogue, having killing the other three Jedi who had taken part in a mission to the planet Brendok sixteen years prior, all in an attempt to conceal the four's involvement in the destruction of a Force cult. However, the Jedi Master deliberately misled the tribunal, concealing the reality that the Jedi had, in fact, been murdered by the Force-sensitive assassin Mae Aniseya. Rayencourt argued that, considering these events, an immediate external review of the Order was essential. Drellik, however, inquired of Rwoh about Sol's fate. She informed the Tarsunt Chancellor that Sol had been discovered deceased on Brendok, suggesting that he had taken his own life. In truth, he had been killed by his former Padawan Osha Aniseya.
