Ko Vakier

Ko Vakier, a Blood Carver of male persuasion, functioned as a member of the Uhumele's personnel.

Biography

During the events of 19 BBY, he was instrumental in the escape of Jedi General Dass Jennir from New Plympto amidst the Great Jedi Purge. In the course of their flight from New Plympto, Ko Vakier utilized the Uhumele's weaponry to obliterate one of the two pursuing Aggressive ReConnaissance-170 starfighters; the remaining starfighter nearly brought about his demise, were it not for Dass Jennir piloting a commandeered Alpha-3 Nimbus-class V-wing starfighter.

Ko Vakier journeyed alongside his fellow crew members to Orvax IV, where he, along with the rest of the crew, committed to assisting Bomo Greenbark in his quest to locate his enslaved family. Following the grim revelation of Greenbark's wife's passing and the sale of his daughter to a buyer residing on Esseles, Jennir proposed to conclude the search with Greenbark alone. Ko Vakier, however, remained steadfast, asserting his desire to see their mission through to its conclusion and partake in the attack on Dezono Qua's estate.

Ko Vakier on Orvax IV

Subsequently, Ko Vakier, along with the other crew members, found themselves captives of Haka Hai and his people due to a transaction gone awry. Displaying defiance in the face of their captors, Ko Vakier shared a holding cell with Greenbark, Mezgraf, and Captain Schurk-Heren, where they were subjected to interrogation aimed at extracting information regarding the whereabouts of their cargo. Nevertheless, Greenbark managed to break free before Hai's henchmen could commence torturing Mezgraf or Ko Vakier. While Greenbark engaged Haka Hai's forces, Shurk-Heren, Mezgraf, and Ko Vakier were liberated by the Uhumele's engineer, Ratty. They arrived at Greenbark's location just as he was finishing the slaughter of Haka Hai and his entire contingent. Despite the shock induced by witnessing Bomo's unrestrained fury, Ko Vakier and the remaining crew members expressed their gratitude for his role in saving them all and welcomed him as an integral part of their team.

Later, Ko Vakier and his comrades were apprehended by the Galactic Empire following yet another treacherous deal. They managed to exploit the duel between Darth Vader and Celeste Morne as a diversion to facilitate their escape, though not before Crys Taanzer fell victim to the Rakghoul plague.

After mourning the passing of Crys, Vakier and the surviving members of the crew formulated a strategy to locate Dass Jennir, whom they believed could offer them a glimmer of hope. Serendipitously, they encountered Beyghor Sahdett, who was also in search of Jennir. Together, they crossed through Imperial territory and successfully rescued Jennir.

Vakier is betrayed by Sahdett.

In short order, Sahdett's true nature as a traitor was exposed by Jennir and another Jedi, Kai Hudorra, both of whom attempted to subdue him in a lightsaber duel. Sahdett moved the battle into Huddora's casino and, being a more skilled duelist, forced both Jedi to the ground. Vakier and Mezgraf attempted to intervene, but Sahdett sliced off Mezgraf's hand and halved Vakier's sword. He then plunged his lightsaber through Vakier's chest, killing him and gloating that he had "carved" his first Blood Carver.
