For a period of seven years, the renegade Admiral Gar Stazi has been spearheading the remnants of the Galactic Alliance in guerilla warfare tactics aimed at the Sith-controlled Empire. Upon receiving intelligence concerning an almost finished, highly classified Imperial project, he stakes his entire fleet on capturing the project with the goal of reversing the course of the war against the Sith!

The Galactic Alliance's Final Stand!

Darth Azard is aboard the Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer named Relentless, which belongs to the Outer Rim Third Fleet. He is informing Admiral Sha Dun that Darth Krayt is displeased by his lack of success in eliminating Gar Stazi and the Galactic Alliance Remnant. Sha Dun argues that they have either captured or destroyed a number of Stazi's vessels; however, Azard employs Force Grip on him before using his lightsaber to execute him for his shortcomings. Subsequently, Azard appoints Admiral Dru Valan to lead the fleet. Valan promises that Stazi will not evade him as he did during the Battle of Caamas. As Azard departs, Valan instructs Captain Hoge to replace all non-human personnel within his fleet with humans, stating his desire for a 'superior' crew to confront Stazi. He then reveals to Hoge his strategy to ensnare Stazi with an irresistible lure.

In the meantime, an advanced Star Destroyer known as the Imperious is nearing completion at the planet Dac. Gial Gahan, a former member of the Triumvirate, and his niece Monia Gahan are collecting data on the new Star Destroyer. Having gathered sufficient information, Monia arranges for Anj Dahl, a fellow pilot from Rogue Squadron, to transport her back to the Alliance Remnant fleet. Upon arrival, they present their findings to Admiral Stazi and his second-in-command, Captain Jaius Yorub. Once alone, Stazi confides in Yorub that he is aware Valan is setting a trap. Nevertheless, they cannot forgo the chance to seize the Imperious, citing their need to conduct military operations. Stazi adds that if they are aware of the trap, they might be able to manipulate it to their advantage.

Two days later, Gial Gahan neutralizes the Shipyard's automated weaponry from the command center situated on the planet's surface as Alliance soldiers seize control of the Imperious. Subsequently, the Alliance task force, commanded by Stazi, enters the system. However, on the planet's surface, Gial is captured and the automated guns are reactivated, while stormtroopers reclaim the Imperious. At that precise moment, Admiral Valan's fleet enters the system. Valan transmits a message to Stazi, informing him that he is trapped and has only two options: surrender or face death. Stazi's response is simply: "Caamas."
