Lindon Javes was a male human who served the Rebel Alliance, and subsequently, the New Republic Defense Force. Demonstrating exceptional skill in hunting down Imperial starships, he rapidly advanced through the Alliance ranks. His aptitude for leadership became apparent as he successfully commanded several missions, ultimately leading to his appointment as commander of Vanguard Squadron. When General Hera Syndulla was presented with a strategy to attack the planet [Pandem Nai](/article/pandem_nai], which was controlled by the Empire, Javes voiced his agreement with the predictions made by the plan's developer.
Born on Todirium III, Lindon Javes was a member of the Todirium militia. He had a sister named Dela, who died during an event described in Javes' file as "hazardous maneuvers."
On Reega II, Javes enlisted in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Starfighter Corps, where he mastered advanced hazardous flight training and became a certified flight instructor. Within the Imperial Navy, he held the rank of captain and served as the commanding officer of Helix Squadron. Following the destruction of the planet Alderaan in 0 BBY, Darth Vader issued an order to pursue and eliminate any refugees who had managed to escape. Javes was tasked with this mission, but he secretly intended to rescue the innocent civilians instead of killing them. After locating the freighter carrying the refugees, Javes betrayed his wingmen by disabling their fighters using an ion torpedo. When Alliance forces arrived to provide assistance, Javes immediately defected. Consequently, the Empire charged Javes with desertion and mutiny, both punishable by execution, as well as providing aid to the Empire's enemies, also punishable by execution, and the theft of Imperial property (1 TIE/ad v1).
After joining the rebellion, he rose through the Alliance ranks by hunting down Imperial capital ships.
By the time following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, Javes had recognized his talent for command, although he remained a combat pilot at heart. As a result, he coordinated several successful missions behind Imperial lines. As the Galactic Civil War progressed, Javes was appointed commander of Vanguard Squadron and given a classified assignment for the New Republic. He also served as a special consultant for General Hera Syndulla.

A few weeks after the Battle of Endor, Javes attended a meeting with Syndulla regarding a plan to attack the Empire's 204th Imperial Fighter Wing stationed at the planet Pandem Nai. Javes concurred with the predictions made by Lieutenant Yrica Quell, who had developed the plan. In 5 ABY, he and Vanguard Squadron embarked on a mission in the Bormea sector to improve the New Republic's starship supply.
Lindon Javes refuses to harm defenseless refugees. He also prioritizes the well-being of his team. Additionally, he was visibly affected by his reunion with Terrisa. Both he and his former mentor now command powerful fighter squadrons.

Lindon Javes was a human male characterized by dark skin, brown eyes, and black hair.
Javes was not only a skilled pilot and certified flight instructor, but he also discovered his aptitude for leadership roles. He possessed expertise in advanced hazardous flight training. This skill was evident when Javes survived crashing into the Starhawk after being presumed dead, and later when he guided his squadron to safety as the planet collapsed. He also held his own in a dogfight against Titan Three.
