During the Clone Wars, [Mekedrix], a male human, held the military rank of commander and fought for both Roon's military defense forces and the Republic Military. In the conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, he was stationed within the Roon system alongside Lieutenant Oron and a company of Roonian soldiers in the early days. Around 22 BBY, his company was reassigned to the 212th Attack Battalion, a battalion of clone troopers under the command of Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi and Clone Commander Cody.
In the Battle of Abrion Bridge, the 212th was divided into two groups. Commander Mekedrix, as the commanding officer of Attack-2, spearheaded the assault on the bridge's northern flank, while Attack-1, led by General Kenobi, focused on the southern side. While Kenobi and his clone troops achieved their goals, Mekedrix's forces were utterly defeated by the Separatist Droid Army. This near defeat put Kenobi's forces in danger of being overwhelmed by the Confederacy military. The Republic ultimately won the battle, but Kenobi observed that Mekedrix appeared emotionally empty afterward. Mekedrix also served with Anakin Skywalker, Kenobi's friend and fellow Jedi General, where he once again looked as though the war had traumatized him.
Following the massacre at the Temple of Eedit on Devaron, Mekedrix vanished. He turned rogue and assumed leadership of the Death Wind execution squad. Admiral Wullf Yularen believed that the war had irrevocably broken him. Kenobi and Skywalker were dispatched to capture him on Ando, specifically in the planet's marshy regions. He was located at an ancient temple, where he refused Kenobi and Skywalker's request to return to Coruscant to be held accountable for his actions. He declared that he was showing his victims the "truth" that the war was merely a distraction. As Mekedrix lunged to attack, Skywalker instinctively stabbed the rogue soldier in the chest to protect Kenobi. Skywalker was horrified, as he had intended to capture Mekedrix alive, but Mekedrix remained calm as he died.
