Mirax Terrik Horn, originally known as Mirax Terrik and called Myra in her youth, was a Human female smuggler. She was the daughter of the renowned smuggler Booster Terrik. Born on Corellia in 19 BBY, Terrik grew up as a close companion of Wedge Antilles. When Corellian Security Force officer Hal Horn arrested Booster in 2 BBY, Terrik assumed control of her father's smuggling business. Terrik aided the New Republic in their struggle against the Galactic Empire, eventually encountering Antilles, who was leading Rogue Squadron. This led her to meet Hal Horn's son, Corran, a member of the squadron. Despite her initial dislike for Horn due to his father's role in her father's arrest, she eventually forgave him, and they developed a romantic relationship. At the conclusion of the Bacta War, Horn proposed to her, and they were married shortly thereafter. Horn later achieved the rank of Jedi Master, and Mirax and Corran had two children, Valin and Jysella Horn, both of whom followed in their father's footsteps to become Jedi.

Mirax spent a significant amount of time with the Antilles family during her youth, as their families had a close relationship. She became friends with their son Wedge, who gave her the nickname "Myra," while she called him "Veggies." When CorSec finally captured her father and sentenced him to five years of hard labor on Kessel, Mirax, still a minor, took over his smuggling enterprise. Under her management, the organization remained profitable while becoming almost completely legitimate. Wedge would occasionally perform maintenance on her ship before he fully defected to the Rebellion.

Years later, Mirax became a smuggler herself, piloting her father's ship, the Pulsar Skate. She crossed paths with Rogue Squadron on several occasions, including on Mrlsst, where she assisted the Rogues in negotiating for the Phantom Project. When the negotiations failed, she escaped with some of the other Rogues on Wes Janson's repulsorlift hoversled. Eventually, she and others reached a base in the asteroid where the project was supposedly held, only to discover it was a forgery. The asteroid exploded, but Mirax and the Rogues escaped in the Skate. She later aided Wedge in his attempt to extract Sate Pestage from Ciutric IV, bringing the Skate and a shipment of R2 units in the Skate while acting as a distraction to allow the New Republic strike team to escape the planet.
In 7 ABY, the Imperial Interdictor cruiser, Black Asp, attacked her, but Rogue Squadron rescued her. The ship's gravity well projectors, which were activated to prevent the Pulsar Skate from escaping, inadvertently pulled in the Rebels, who were passing through the system. The powerful X-Wing squadron forced the cruiser to retreat.
Besides her friend Wedge Antilles, the squadron also included Corran Horn—whose father, Hal Horn, had arrested Mirax's father, Booster Terrik. Unsurprisingly, Mirax was unhappy about being indebted to him, but her friendship with Wedge convinced her to support the New Republic.

Mirax's smuggling activities proved vital in supplying bacta to the newly liberated Coruscant, which was suffering from the Krytos virus. During this time, she partnered with Horn, whom she eventually forgave and befriended. By the time of the Bacta War, they had fallen in love, and just before the final battle of that conflict, she accepted his marriage proposal. Shortly after the battle, Wedge Antilles, acting as ship's captain, married them aboard the captured Super Star Destroyer Lusankya. Soon after, a larger, more formal ceremony took place on Coruscant.
After their wedding, Mirax started a shipping company, but she returned to smuggling during the Thrawn campaign to provide supplies to resistance cells and smuggle refugees on planets conquered by Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Two years following Thrawn's demise, she attempted to capture the rogue Moff Leonia Tavira, but instead, her Invid pirates captured her. She was imprisoned on the planet Suarbi until her husband and Luke Skywalker were able to free her. In 13 ABY, she gave birth to a son, Valin, and later had a daughter, Jysella. By 19 ABY, she attended the wedding of Skywalker and Mara Jade. Subsequently, Mara and Mirax, both former smugglers, became close friends. When Luke's responsibilities kept him at the Jedi Praxeum for extended periods, Mara joined her aboard the Pulsar Skate as part of the crew. On one occasion, sometime before 25 ABY, they faced charges for causing criminal damage after an altercation with rivals or enemies, although the exact details remain unknown, and both women were ultimately cleared of all charges.

As the wife of a Jedi Knight, Mirax developed an interest in the New Jedi Order. She often monitored requests for courier services, giving priority to Jedi requests. This led her to transport Luke and Mara Skywalker, Anakin Solo, and Chalco to Vortex in pursuit of the rogue Twi'lek Jedi Daeshara'cor. Later, during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Mirax was with Corran several times at Eclipse, including during the Yuuzhan Vong assault on the Eclipse Station Jedi base. Later, voxyn attacked the couple while they were hiding on Corellia.
In 40 ABY, due to her husband's Jedi status, Thrackan Sal-Solo's government placed her under house arrest. Following Sal-Solo's death, the house arrest was lifted. Mirax and Corran later assisted the Solos and Wedge on Corellia after they severed ties with the Five Worlds. They sought refuge on the Errant Venture, where Mirax finally agreed to her father's long-standing requests to learn the operations of the mobile smuggler's den, mainly because she had little else to occupy her time.
In 43.5 ABY, two years after the Second Galactic Civil War ended, Mirax and her family experienced a profound personal tragedy. With the Open Alliance Talks underway, Mirax's entire family was on Coruscant, a rare occurrence, and she had arranged for them to stay together during the conference. One morning, while preparing breakfast, Mirax was horrified when her son Valin attacked her. Corran's arrival prevented Mirax from being injured, but she was forced to stun her deranged son to stop him from killing who he believed was a false Corran. She later discovered that Valin was suffering from a mysterious ailment that made him see everyone around him as impostors, including his parents. Mirax was helpless as Valin became a fugitive, later captured and imprisoned in carbonite. She later assisted members of Darkmeld during the Raid on the Armand Isard Correctional Facility.
The Horns suffered another blow when their daughter, Jysella, also succumbed to the disease and was frozen in carbonite. She later joined a group of Jedi Masters and Jaina Solo to execute a court-approved warrant to see her children at the Galactic Justice Center. They found both children suspended in carbonite above an aquarium, used as decoration in the Center's barracks. Horrified and enraged at seeing her beloved children in this state, she angrily confronted the warden responsible before punching him in the face, knocking him unconscious.
While the Rogue Squadron comics and Union depict her with blue eyes, I, Jedi states that they are brown, and Legacy of the Force: Exile refers to them as blue again.
Mirax's friend, Wedge Antilles, named his youngest daughter, Myri Antilles, after her. Myri's name comes from Mirax's childhood nickname, Myra.
