In the year 4 ABY, the Freemaker family embarked on a quest to Mygeeto. Their objective was to acquire embersteel wings sourced from a Theta-class H-2 executive star shuttle. These wings were crucial for their endeavor to construct the Arrowhead, a powerful vessel envisioned to shift the balance in the Galactic Civil War. Kordi Freemaker devised a strategy: infiltrate the Imperial auction at the Mygeeto Auction House and seize the shuttle. However, Zander Freemaker's impulsive nature, along with the presence of Graballa the Hutt and his crew, complicated matters significantly.
Following their mission to Alistan Nor, the Freemakers initiated their quest to assemble the Arrowhead, a starship prophesied to alter the course of the Galactic Civil War. Acquiring embersteel blades was essential for the Arrowhead's construction. Kordi Freemaker learned that the Galactic Empire planned to auction off starships confiscated from Rebel Alliance supporters on Mygeeto. This auction would be held at the Mygeeto Auction House.
Among the ships for sale was a Theta-class H-2 executive star shuttle equipped with embersteel wings. Kordi secured a 75,000 credit loan from the Rebel Alliance to acquire the Theta-class shuttle and its valuable wings. For this mission, Kordi adopted the disguise of Clawdite princess Alo Kortessi, while her brothers Zander and Rowan Freemaker posed as her attendants.
Donning the guise of Princess Alo Kortessi, Kordi successfully persuaded the stormtroopers guarding the Mygeeto Auction House to grant her and her "entourage" entry. Meanwhile, Roger remained behind to safeguard the StarScavenger. When the real Princess Kortessi arrived, the stormtroopers mistakenly identified her as an imposter and apprehended her. Once inside, the Freemakers encountered several complications. Firstly, they discovered that nobles typically delegated bidding responsibilities to their servants, which undermined Kordi's plan as she possessed the best negotiating skills. Conversely, her brother Zander was known for his impulsiveness and rash decisions.
Secondly, Graballa the Hutt, an old adversary, and his entourage arrived at the Mygeeto Auction House seeking investors for his proposed beachside resort and buffet. While keeping an eye on her brothers, Kordi had to fend off Graballa's advances. Mistaking Kordi for Princess Kortessi, Graballa attempted to persuade her to invest in his resort. Thirdly, Zander impulsively bid on an Eta-2 Actis-class light interceptor. Aspiring to become a starfighter pilot in the Rebellion, Zander believed the Jedi starfighter was a bargain at 30 credits. However, the actual cost was 30,000 credits, leaving the Freemakers short of the funds needed for the Theta-class shuttle.
Fourthly, Raam, one of Graballa's bounty hunters, inadvertently bid on the Theta-class shuttle. Determined to secure the shuttle and its embersteel wings, Kordi ventured to Graballa's starship Rancor's Fist at the local spaceport. Believing "Princess Kortessi" to be wealthy, Graballa instead kidnapped her, hoping to extract a ransom from the Clawdite royal family. Rowan, Zander, and Roger pursued them in the StarScavenger and the Jedi starfighter.
Aboard his ship, Graballa attempted to contact the Clawdite royal family, but was hindered by their complex answering system. As Rowan and Zander approached in their starships, Dengar led a group of starfighters in pursuit. While Rowan and Zander engaged Graballa's fighters in a chase, Kordi leveraged her negotiation skills to propose herself as a business adviser. She persuaded Graballa to release her from her restraints and proceeded to offer business advice, including installing energy-efficient lighting, lowering the thermostat, and reducing staff. Kordi also guided Graballa toward the ship's hangar.
Having gained Graballa's confidence, Kordi convinced the Hutt to hand over his Theta-class shuttle in exchange for her services as a business adviser. Shortly after, Rowan and Zander arrived in the Rancor's Fist's hangar aboard the StarScavenger and the Jedi starfighter. Kordi then bound Graballa in chains. When Baash and Raam tried to intervene, Zander hurled a container at them. Before they could escape, Dengar returned in his starfighter and destroyed Zander's Jedi starfighter. Following a brief struggle, Kordi knocked Dengar unconscious by swinging a crane at him.
Kordi departed on the Theta-shuttle, followed by Rowan and Zander in the StarScavenger. When Graballa ordered his henchmen to pursue the Freemakers, Baash and Raam demanded that Graballa negotiate a compensation settlement with them, joined by Dengar who complained about his working conditions.
Upon returning to the Alliance flagship Home One, the Freemakers and the rebel shipbuilder Quarrie melted down the embersteel wings and integrated the blades into the frontal cannons. Kordi and Zander also resolved their differences. Subsequently, the Freemakers embarked on a mission to Taul to retrieve a proton suspension housing from a wrecked Corellian Defender. Meanwhile, Darth Vader enlisted Graballa's mining expertise to acquire kyber crystals for the Empire's second Death Star.
The quest for Embersteel wings forms the central plot of "The Embersteel Blade," an episode from LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two, which premiered on August 1, 2017.
