Pablo

Pablo was a Rodian male arms dealer who ran a pawnshop alongside his partner on the planet of Nal Hutta during the era of the Clone Wars. Back in 20 BBY, the bounty hunter known as Cad Bane came into contact with him, seeking weapons from his establishment after making his escape from a high-security prison located on Coruscant. Bane became infuriated when Pablo implied that he wasn't in a position to be choosy, given his obvious fugitive status. The Duros responded by holding a toothpick against the Rodian's throat, advising him to keep his mouth shut before departing. With assistance from the Hutt Clan, Pablo and his partner managed to locate Bane and his associates: the criminal mastermind Moralo Eval, and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was in disguise as the bounty hunter Rako Hardeen. Bane then pushed "Hardeen" downwards, resulting in his capture by Gamorrean guards.

Biography

Pablo is threatened by Cad Bane.

Pablo was a Rodian male arms dealer who possessed a well-supplied pawnshop, where he and his partner traded in dangerous equipment. Their business was situated in Bilbousa Bazaar on his native planet Nal Hutta during the period of the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The bounty hunter Cad Bane had previously been a customer of Pablo's, often satisfied with his purchases. In 20 BBY, the Duros hunter returned to Pablo's shop accompanied by fellow criminals Moralo Eval and Rako Hardeen, who was actually the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi in disguise.

Having recently escaped from a high-security prison on Coruscant, the trio discarded their prison jumpsuits and selected items from Pablo's inventory. In addition to a change of clothes, Bane acquired a new hat and gauntlets capable of emitting gas, Eval chose a set of combat armor, and "Hardeen" picked up a helmet and shoulder armor. While they were browsing, Pablo inquired if they needed anything else, perhaps a new ship. Bane criticized Pablo's weapon selection as poor and asked where he could find high-quality blasters, prompting Pablo to suggest that they were not in a position to be picky, given their status as fugitives. In response, Bane pushed Pablo against a rack, holding a toothpick to his throat. Threatening the Rodian's life, he warned Pablo to keep his mouth shut and stated that he would find weapons elsewhere. The bounty hunter then released Pablo, who collapsed to his knees, clutching his throat as his partner knelt beside him.

Pablo and his partner get help from the Hutt Clan

The disguised Jedi Master Kenobi felt compelled to offer Pablo's partner a silver credit ingot as an apology. However, the upset Twi'lek rejected the offer, smacking the ingot out of his hand. Seeking retribution, Pablo and his partner enlisted the aid of the Hutt Clan to deal with the escaped criminals. Accompanied by a Nikto guard and two Gamorreans, the distressed pair located the group. Bane betrayed "Hardeen," spraying him with gas that blurred his vision, and kicking him off the ramp as they departed in their new ship. As Pablo and his partner surrounded the dazed criminal, they confirmed his identity, leading to Kenobi's capture.

Personality and traits

Pablo was a devious Rodian, characterized by green skin, blue eyes, and a yellow ridge of spines on his head. He spoke in a fawning whisper, careful not to offend potentially dangerous customers. His connections to the Hutts were vital to his survival on Nal Hutta, as was his well-stocked shop. Whenever threatened, Pablo would always back down, much to the frustration of his Twi'lek partner.

Skills and abilities

Pablo had the ability to speak Galactic Basic Standard.

Equipment

Pablo was seen wearing a maroon jacket over a gray shirt, paired with blue pants and brown shoes.
