Ramakak

Ramakak, a member of the Talz species, found himself liberated from the clutches of Zygerrian enslavers thanks to the actions of treasure hunter Zool Zendiat. In gratitude, Ramakak swore allegiance and became part of the Zendiat Collective. Their mission led them to seek a J9 worker drone believed to contain a treasure map within its head. In pursuit of this goal, Ramakak and the Collective perpetrated the kidnapping of junk boss Unkar Plutt from his base, Niima Outpost, situated on the planet Jakku. Aboard Zendiat's starship, the Fortune, Plutt underwent an interrogation led by Zendiat, with Ramakak observing the proceedings.

Following the Collective's decision to move Plutt outdoors, the scavenger Rey launched an assault to rescue the junk boss. While she managed to incapacitate Ramakak initially, Zendiat's intervention with a stun blast halted her progress. Rey, revealing her possession of the J9 unit's head, tossed it into the air as a distraction while freeing Plutt. However, Ramakak quickly recovered and seized Rey. Plutt then deployed corn-clusters, attracting a swarm of ripper-raptors that descended upon Ramakak and his comrades. Rey, in turn, threw the damaged droid's head, which lacked the treasure map, towards them, allowing her and Plutt to escape. The Collective then abandoned Jakku.

Biography

Kidnapping Plutt

Ramakak helped kidnap Unkar Plutt.

Having been saved from Zygerrian enslavers by the treasure hunter Zool Zendiat, Ramakak, a Talz, vowed his allegiance. Consequently, he became an enforcer for the Zendiat Collective. In the year 33 ABY, the group journeyed to Jakku in their search for a J9 worker drone, believing it held a treasure map inside its head. Upon discovering that junk boss Unkar Plutt had acquired the droid, Ramakak and the others attacked Plutt's headquarters at Niima Outpost.

During the Collective's blaster assault on the outpost, Ramakak seized Plutt and dragged him away. The captive was then transported back to Zendiat's starship, the Fortune, where Zendiat interrogated him about the droid's location, while Ramakak and the others looked on. After Plutt revealed that the droid was missing its head when he received it, he was taken outside and tied up in the badlands, threatened with being fed to ripper-raptors unless he revealed who possessed the head.

Rey to the rescue

Unknown to Ramakak and his associates, the scavenger Rey, who had previously sold the J9 unit to Plutt, found out about Plutt's kidnapping from fellow scavenger Roodown and Constable Zuvio. She then set out to free him. By placing comlinks strategically around the Fortune, she broadcast a fake bloggin squawk and attacked the Collective while they were distracted. After Rey used her quarterstaff to knock down Ramakak's companions Kanna and Tryki, the Talz retaliated with his blaster pistol but missed his target and was himself knocked to the ground. Rey began freeing Plutt, only to be stunned by Zendiat.

Ripper-raptors attacked Ramakak and his companions on Jakku.

Ramakak and the others regained their footing and stood with Zendiat as Rey revealed that she had the J9 unit's head and attempted to bargain for her and Plutt's release. Instead, the Collective prepared to shoot her, causing her to throw the head into the air. As the Collective scrambled to catch it, Rey freed Plutt, who unintentionally pushed her into Ramakak's claws. While the Talz held Rey, Plutt caught the droid's head and then released three packets of corn-clusters that Rey had dropped, drawing the attention of the circling ripper-raptors.

As the birds descended upon Ramakak and his companions, Rey and Plutt made their escape. Rey, having previously determined that the J9 unit's memory was damaged beyond repair and wiped clean, grabbed the droid's head from Plutt and threw it back towards the Collective to deter pursuit. Believing they had a valuable prize, Zendiat ordered the Collective to board the Fortune and leave Jakku, and they quickly departed.
