Ronto (Klatooinian)

During the Second Imperial Civil War, a Klatooinian pilot named Ronto fought for the Galactic Alliance Remnant. In 137 ABY, during the Battle of Mon Calamari, Ronto was forced to eject into space when his CF9 Crossfire starfighter was destroyed. Although he safely entered the planet's atmosphere and landed, he was taken as a prisoner by the Empire's forces. However, during the subsequent Massacre of New Coral City ordered by Emperor Darth Krayt, Ronto, along with several other Alliance pilots, were freed from imprisonment by Monia Gahan, a Rogue, and the Imperial Knights Treis Sinde and Sigel Dare, who served Emperor Roan Fel's Empire-in-exile.

Ronto, serving under the command of Jedi Master Drok, played a role in sabotaging the defenses of the Mon Calamari Orbital Shipyards. This action was in preparation for the Evacuation of Dac, which was initiated after Krayt's One Sith unleashed viral spores into the oceans of the planet. This poison was designed to purge all life from Dac, forcing Alliance Admiral Gar Stazi to initiate an emergency evac fleet in a race against time, though only twenty percent of the population could be saved.

In 138 ABY, Darth Krayt launched a renewed military offensive against the newly-formed Alliance consisting of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, the Empire-in-exile, and the New Jedi Order, marking the final phase of the war. During the Alliance's attack on Sith-occupied Coruscant, the concluding battle of the conflict, Ronto was killed.
