Sash Ketter, a New Republic pilot, was a female human. She, along with fellow pilots Trapper Wolf and Jib Dodger, were dispatched to investigate a distress signal originating from the Bothan-5, a New Republic Correctional Transport that had been compromised by mercenaries. Upon reaching the designated coordinates at a space station, the trio of pilots identified a gunship in the process of deployment. They promptly destroyed it and then proceeded to engage the space station with their weapons.
Sash Ketter, a celebrated hero of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, served as a pilot within the New Republic's Starfighter Corps. During 9 ABY, she was a member of the Adelphi Rangers, a New Republic attack squadron, alongside her fellow pilots Trapper Wolf and Jib Dodger. Their responsibilities included locating specific active New Republic tracking beacons.
One such beacon was activated by Lieutenant Lant Davan, a New Republic soldier, when the Bothan-5, the New Republic Correctional Transport on which he served, was infiltrated by a group of mercenaries. Subsequently, the beacon was transported aboard the gunship known as the Razor Crest to a space station under the control of the criminal Ranzar Malk. Ketter, Wolf, and Dodger, having tracked the beacon, arrived at the space station aboard their T-65B X-wing starfighters, passing the Razor Crest immediately after exiting hyperspace. Wolf verified the beacon's signal and identified a gunship preparing to launch from one of the station's hangars. Despite the gunship's apparent target being the Razor Crest, Ketter and her squadron initiated an attack on the hangar, resulting in the destruction of the ship. Following this, the trio circled the station, engaging its exterior with their weapons.
At a later time, Ketter was found relaxing in Adelphi Base with Dodger and Wolf. They were drinking spotchka while talking and relaxing.
Ketter was typically seen wearing an orange and white flight suit along with a white K-22995 light flight helmet adorned with blue and yellow markings and two New Republic roundels.
Sash Ketter made her debut appearance in Chapter 6 of The Mandalorian, the 2019 television series, which was broadcast on December 13, 2019. She was portrayed by Deborah Chow, who also directed Chapter 3 and Chapter 7 of the same series. Chow's cameo appearance occurred alongside fellow series directors Dave Filoni and Rick Famuyiwa, who played Trapper Wolf and Jib Dodger, respectively. Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, who portrayed New Republic pilot Carson Teva in The Mandalorian Season Two, stated that Chow was initially considered to reprise her role as Ketter alongside him in the Season Two episode "Chapter 10: The Passenger," but Filoni was cast as Wolf instead as Chow was preoccupied with her show Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In The Mandalorian's third season, Chow once again made a cameo appearance as the New Republic pilot alongside Famuyiwa and Filoni, but only as a non-speaking background character.
