Shu-Torun royal family

The Shu-Torun royal family, alternatively called the Shu-Torun royalty, constituted the royal family of the Monarch ruling over Shu-Torun. Shu-Torun was a resource-rich, volcanic world situated within the Mid Rim region of the galaxy. During the Age of the Empire, this royal family governed Shu-Torun, acting on behalf of Emperor Sheev Palpatine of the Galactic Empire. At the time when the Galactic Civil War raged between the Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, Shu-Torun's populace was under the leadership of an elderly king who had a son and two daughters. The oldest child, Prince Monthan, was in line to take his father's place as the next king of Shu-Torun. His younger sister, Princess Hollian, was slated to inherit the title of celebrant warlord when the king death occurred. The youngest of the three heirs, Princess Trios, was intended by their father to serve the royal family in a capacity different from that of her siblings.

Upon the arrival of Darth Vader, the Emperor's emissary, Trios escorted the Sith Lord into the royal palace, where a group of Shu-Torun soldiers ambushed him. These soldiers claimed to oppose both the king and the Empire, but they were secretly part of the king's scheme to assassinate Vader. Despite his attempts, which included trying to sacrifice Trios to eliminate the Sith visitor, Vader evaded the king's traps and ensured Trios' survival. Ultimately, the king and his two eldest children were killed by BT-1, the Sith Lord's assassin droid, leaving Trios as the heir to the throne, becoming queen of Shu-Torun.

Trios' ascension to the throne was challenged by the ore-dukes of Shu-Torun, which led to a civil war on her homeworld. This uprising caused Vader to return to Shu-Torun leading an army to maintain the Empire's control over the planet's resources. With the Empire's backing, the royalist faction was successful in defeating the rebellion, which was spearheaded by Duke Rubix, allowing Trios to continue her reign as the Empire's vassal.
