Silvasu Fi's species

This species represented a form of sentient life that populated the galaxy. Prominent individuals from this species included Silvasu Fi, Wini Eres, and Xonr.

Biology and appearance

A defining characteristic of this sentient species was the presence of black eyes coupled with horns situated around their faces.

In the galaxy

During the Imperial Era, Silvasu Fi, a member of this particular species, was in service to the Cloud-Riders, assisting in the theft of resources from both the Empire and Crimson Dawn. These stolen goods were intended to support a burgeoning rebellion. Another member, Xonr, operated as a bounty hunter affiliated with the Bounty Hunters' Guild. Xonr was tasked with hunting down the rogue hunter Beilert Valance with the intent to eliminate him, but the cyborg killed him on Coruscant.

Within the New Republic era, specifically in 9 ABY, an individual of this species was observed on Nevarro. This individual walked past Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter, and was later seen conversing with a human. At a later date, while Din Djarin and Grogu sought out Jedi to reunite the Child with others of its kind, a member of this species was part of a crowd watching Gamorreans engaged in combat.

Around 34 ABY, a female member of this species could be found on Canto Bight as Rose Tico and Finn conducted their search for the elusive Master Codebreaker. She passed by Dobbu Scay and the astromech droid BB-8 while the former attempted to exploit the droid as a slot machine.

Behind the scenes

Jake Davies' instagram post

The first appearance of this species occurred in the 2017 film, Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which was directed by Rian Johnson. Jake Lunt Davies, an artist, was responsible for creating the species' design for the film, a fact he shared in an Instagram post. Despite his own uncertainty regarding the species' official designation, Leland Chee responded and confirmed that they had designated the species as "Namara". This specific name was subsequently provided to the development team behind Star Wars: Datapad, a mobile game launched in 2019 and intended for use at [Disneyland](/article/disneyland], although it was ultimately not incorporated into the final version of the game.
