Strategic Command
During the Cold War era, a crucial command hub known as Strategic Command was situated within the Senate Building on Coruscant, a significant planet. This facility was under the control of a division of the Strategic Information Service, the Republic's main intelligence organization. It played a pivotal role in the events of 3643 BBY during the crisis surrounding the Planet Prison superweapon theft. The Galactic Republic and Sith Empire were the main factions involved.
Description
Within the Senate Building on Coruscant, the Galactic Republic's capital planet, was a sizable space known as Strategic Command. It functioned as an operational center for a branch of the Republic Strategic Information Service, the Republic's intelligence agency, and was overseen by Agent Galen. The room was equipped with two lengthy tables and a large holocomm unit at its far end. Echoing the Senate Building's design, Strategic Command featured white-and-tan flooring, walls of burnt-orange, and auburn arches. Republic banners and potted plants adorned the space, with databanks and computer terminals positioned along the walls.
History
The SIS branch led by Agent Galen made use of Strategic Command beginning around the time of the Cold War between the Republic and the Sith Empire. Back in the year 3643 BBY, a group of criminals belonging to the Migrant Merchants' Guild organization managed to steal the design specifications for the Planet Prison superweapon. Galen's team, working alongside the Coruscant Security Force, was tasked with investigating this theft. After identifying Vistis Garn, a Rodian thief, Galen reported these findings to General Var Suthra of the Republic Military. A young Jedi Knight was dispatched to retrieve the stolen files from a Guild warehouse situated in the Old Galactic Market area. Subsequently, Galen returned to Strategic Command accompanied by the Jedi Padawan Kira Carsen. Upon learning of the kidnapping of Doctor Eli Tarnis, the Planet Prison's designer, Carsen left Strategic Command to pursue the kidnappers. Galen then instructed the Jedi Knight to bring the files back to Strategic Command.

Galen then passed the files to Krand, one of his analysts, who utilized the room's computers to decrypt the files while the Knight assisted Carsen in defeating some of the kidnappers within the nearby Coruscant Spaceport. After discovering that the files contained information on the entire Republic superweapon initiative, Galen gathered General Suthra, Jedi Masters Bela Kiwiiks and Orgus Din, the Knight, and Carsen in Strategic Command to share the critical information. Galen, Kiwiiks, and Din then departed Coruscant to secure the Republic's three offworld superweapon development facilities. Suthra and Carsen stayed behind in Strategic Command to monitor the Knight as the young Jedi embarked on a mission to rescue Doctor Tarnis from his kidnappers in the Black Sun criminal syndicate.
While Suthra and Carsen were monitoring the Jedi's progress via the room's communications systems, the Knight discovered Tarnis was actually a Sith Lord. Carsen and the analysts were able to trace Tarnis's transmissions to the Justicars' Brigade's territory on Coruscant. After Carsen and the Knight defeated Tarnis, preventing him from using the Planet Prison against Coruscant, Suthra met with the Jedi again in Strategic Command. He then dispatched the pair on a mission to Ord Mantell to investigate the plans of Tarnis's father, Darth Angral.
