Toprawa

Toprawa, a world far removed from galactic centers, could be found in the Outer Rim Territories, specifically within grid square P-5. This planet held a position along the Hydian Way hyperspace route and served as the original homeworld for Sila Kott, a rebel pilot.

Description

Toprawa was a terrestrial planet situated in a relatively unpopulated and resource-scarce section of the Outer Rim Territories. It was also located within the New Territories and identified as grid square P-5 on the Standard Galactic Grid. The Hydian Way hyperspace route linked Toprawa to Serenno, as well as the celestial locations known as Junction and Pho Ph'eah.

From space, Toprawa, a verdant forest planet, exhibited a light and dark green appearance. It orbited a sun and possessed several moons.

History

Rebel pilot Sila Kott hailed from Toprawa.

Toprawa was somewhat impacted by criminal organizations; however, its isolated location helped it evade substantial interest from the Galactic Republic, and later, the forces of its successor, the Galactic Empire. This isolation also kept Toprawa largely uninvolved in the Galactic Civil War between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance. During the time of the war, Toprawa's dedicated survivalists developed the 'aKraB clip-point vibrodagger weapon, designed for precise, close-range kills on large creatures by penetrating their [armor](/article/armor] plating.

During the Imperial Era, the Empire operated a research station on Toprawa, focusing on enhancing Imperial fighters and creating a type of laser ostensibly intended for [mining](/article/mining] purposes.

Inhabitants

Sila Kott, the human rebel pilot who met her end at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, called Toprawa her homeworld.

Locations

In recognition of Sila Kott's contributions to the liberation of the galaxy, a flight school bearing her name was established on Toprawa.

Behind the scenes

Toprawa was initially referenced within current Star Wars canon in the twenty-third issue of the magazine Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon, which was released by De Agostini circa June 10, 2015. The illustration of Toprawa in Build the Millennium Falcon 23 repurposed artwork of the planet Rodia from "Bombad Jedi," the eighth episode of the first season of the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which initially aired on November 21, 2008. Toprawa later debuted in "The Last Flight," a short story penned by Ali Hazelwood and featured in the 2023 anthology From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.

The original introduction of Toprawa occurred within the Star Wars Legends continuity, with its first mention in the 1981 Star Wars radio dramatization, adapted by Brian Daley and produced by National Public Radio. It then received a visual representation in Jedi Dawn, a 1993 roleplaying book authored by Paul Cockburn and published by Boxtree.
