During the New Republic era, a male Trandoshan worked within the Bounty Hunters' Guild. In the year 9 ABY, this bounty hunter was enlisted by Greef Karga for a mission: to abduct a force-sensitive child from the Mandalorian. However, his mission was cut short when a native reptavian ambushed him, snatching him into the air.
The bounty hunter was affiliated with the Bounty Hunters' Guild in 9 ABY. On Nevarro, he was recruited by Greef Karga, a Guild agent, to be part of his "security detail." This detail also included a human and a Nikto. Karga's plan involved confronting Din Djarin, the Mandalorian bounty hunter. Djarin possessed a Force-sensitive child, a target that an Imperial remnant had contracted the Guild to capture.
The Trandoshan, along with his two fellow bounty hunters, joined Karga in meeting Djarin in Nevarro's lava fields. Djarin arrived in his starship, the Razor Crest, and approached them with his own team: Cara Dune, a former rebel, and Kuiil, an Ugnaught, both riding blurrgs. Karga started by acknowledging the security details on both sides and then inspected the Child.

The two groups then journeyed across the lava fields toward the city, establishing a camp for the night. As night fell, the group gathered around a fire, where Djarin and Karga discussed their strategy to eliminate the supposed leader of the Imperial forces within the city. Suddenly, the camp came under attack by native reptavians. The bounty hunters fought off the creatures as they attempted to seize the blurrgs, successfully carrying one off.
In the ensuing silence, the Trandoshan surveyed the area, only to be surprised by one of the creatures, which seized him and flew away as Karga and the others fired at it.

The Trandoshan bounty hunter made his debut in "Chapter 7: The Reckoning," the seventh episode of The Mandalorian, a live-action Disney+ series created by Jon Favreau. Deborah Chow directed the episode, which premiered on December 18, 2019. An uncredited extra played the character. Brian Matyas, the artist who created the bounty hunter's concept art, was advised to use a Trandoshan and chose to explore the idea of placing a helmet on the alien, revealing only its mouth. Doug Chiang, the art director, added that this decision helped distinguish the character from the other bounty hunters.
