Wick Cooper, who is also known as Mr. Cooper, was a rich patron of the Freemaker family, who were scavengers. He resided on the higher levels of the Wheel and at one time was the owner of a vintage N-1 starfighter. Mr. Cooper became very irritated when Zander decided to take his ship for an unauthorized flight, ultimately destroying it. As recompense for the damage, he seized Zander's Blazemaker starship, but it subsequently exploded. In spite of the substandard service that the Freemakers provided, Mr. Cooper still entrusted them with the maintenance of a speeder bike. He later crossed paths with Kordi Freemaker and Princess Leia Organa, who were pretending to be cleaning staff in his penthouse while attempting to evade capture by Estoc and her stormtroopers.
Subsequently, Cooper leased the former Freemaker garage and transformed it into a drinking establishment named "Wick Cooper's Caffeine and Kitsch Club." During the time of the New Republic era, Cooper inaugurated a holiday retreat on Endor, where his daughter, Sidero, lived alongside him.

Wick Cooper was a man of considerable wealth who possessed a penthouse located on the Upper Ring of the Wheel, which was a space station. During the Imperial Era, Mr. Cooper once sent his antique N-1 starfighter to the Freemakers, a family of scavengers who were also starship mechanics and ran a starship repair business known as Freemaker Salvage and Repair, for servicing. Cooper then presented Kordi Freemaker with a catalog of unreasonable requests, including double-steaming the engines, repairing his astromech droid, and washing the heat sinks with pure Kamino water. Simultaneously, inside the garage, Kordi's younger brother Rowan Freemaker and their B1-series battle droid Roger were attempting to conceal the starfighter from his older mechanic brother Zander, being aware of his reputation as a drag-racer and starship enthusiast.
Despite the best efforts of the Freemakers, Zander succeeded in taking the starfighter for a joyride. When Mr. Cooper entered the garage to inspect his ship, Kordi asserted that it was in the back. After escorting Mr. Cooper back to the reception area, Kordi volunteered to give his ship extra attention, with Rowan offering a waxing service. After Kordi and Rowan returned to the garage, Mr. Cooper sighed and expressed his regret that he had not taken the ship to Theed Hangar instead. While the other Freemakers awaited Zander's return, they attempted to distract Mr. Cooper by pretending to repair his ship. Meanwhile, Zander was apprehended by the Imperial Star Destroyer Vendetta.
While Kordi and Rowan departed to rescue their sibling with the fake Jedi Naare, they left R0-GR behind to keep Cooper company. During this period, R0-GR entertained Cooper with excerpts from his draft autobiography, From Trenches to Wrenches: The Roger Story. After reaching the 26th chapter, which addressed the Battle of Kashyyyk, an exasperated Cooper requested a cup of caf. Eager to provide the best service, Roger offered him his favorite beverage: a cup of motor oil. Cooper found the taste repulsive and went to the restroom. Meanwhile, the Freemakers managed to recover the N1 starfighter with considerable difficulty after an encounter with Darth Vader, who also took the vessel for a joyride.
The Freemakers managed to return the N-1 starfighter to their Wheel garage, but it had been wrecked by Zander's adventure. By that time, Cooper was furious with Roger, who had read him 26 chapters of his autobiography. Upon seeing his wrecked starfighter, Cooper was enraged with the Freemakers. Zander claimed that he had taken the ship for a test flight but that the Imperials had stolen it. As compensation, the Freemakers offered him their other ships. Seeking to spite Zander, Cooper settled for Zander's prized Blazemaker starship. He took the ship for a joyride, but it exploded because Zander had forgotten to fix the fusion tubes. Cooper managed to bail out of the ship and warned that the Freemakers would be hearing from his lawyers.

Despite the poor service provided by the Freemakers, Mr. Cooper still sent his speeder bike to be serviced by them in order to save money. This time, Zander managed to control his impulses. Shortly later, the Freemakers were visited by the rebels Princess Leia Organa and her brother Luke Skywalker. While trying to outrun the Imperial officer Estoc and her stormtroopers, Kordi, Zander, and Leia fled to The Wheel's affluent upper level. They disguised themselves as cleaners, with Kordi wearing a pot, and found themselves at Mr. Cooper's penthouse.
Believing them to be his cleaners, Mr. Cooper gave them instructions to vacuum and clean his home. He was a tedious employer and reprimanded a disguised Kordi for missing a spot. When Mr. Cooper made an offhand remark about the destruction of Alderaan, Leia threw him out of the house. Kordi then removed her pot disguise and identified herself as Kordi. Shortly later, the real cleaning droids arrived. However, this caused Cooper to recognize Leia and alert Estoc and her men. The rebels managed to trick the Imperials into thinking they had died by sending their Y-wing starfighter out as a decoy.
Wick Cooper takes a trip to the world of Naboo for the purpose of seeing the Theed Royal Palace, which has been changed to be the "Emperor Palpatine Museum." He cuts in line, telling the person at the cashier that he is a loyal Imperial citizen and that he wishes to go on a special tour of the museum.
Later on, Wick Cooper, along with other Imperial citizens, went to the Imperial Palace on Coruscant as part of the yearly Empire Day celebrations. However, the festivities were overshadowed by the Sith acolyte Naare, who had rebelled against Emperor Palpatine. When Naare announced herself as the new Empress, Wick and the other crowd members booed and jeered the upstart. In retaliation, Naare levitated their platform and shattered it in mid-air. Wick and the other attendees plummeted to the surface but were rescued by Zander and Kordi, who used the StarScavenger to pick up many of the people. Wick believed that he was dead but soon realized that he had survived the fall. Naare was later defeated by Rowan, who stole the Kyber Saber and destroyed it on Sullust.
After the Freemakers had joined the Rebel Alliance, Wick Cooper visited the Mygeeto Auction House with other dignitaries including Ignacio Wortan and Graballa. While the undercover Kordi was mingling with the nobles in the luxury terrace, she overheard him contemptuously asking why some people wanted to be poor.
Later, the Freemakers discovered that Wick Cooper was renting their former garage and had transformed it into a cantina called "Wick Cooper's Caffeine and Kitsch Club." Cooper made a lot of money charging exorbitant prices for services such as blue milk dispensers. Cooper also converted the Freemakers' energy matrix activator into a caf machine. The Freemakers were outraged at what Cooper had done to their former home and business but focused on their mission to build the Arrowhead.
During the New Republic era, Wick Cooper opened a vacation resort on Endor. Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and Ben Solo took a vacation and stayed at Wick's resort. However, the guests at the resort are being picked on by Wicket Wystri Warrick and other Ewoks. Leia convinced Wicket and Wick to become business partners. Meanwhile, Wick's daughter, Sidero and Ben Solo steal the Millennium Falcon and take it for a joyride.

Wick Cooper was a man who possessed arrogance and condescension, enjoying the act of making excessive demands of those who worked under his direction. He was a man without patience, easily bored by Roger's written accounts. Cooper also held a vindictive nature, finding pleasure in causing harm to those who had wronged him. Despite his disdain for the Freemakers, he continued to utilize their services for his vehicles in order to minimize expenses.
Cooper also regarded the poor with contempt and was perplexed at "why anyone would choose to be poor". Cooper was a profit-seeking businessman who turned the Freemakers' former garage into a cantina and charged exorbitant prices.
Wick Cooper is present as a supporting character in the non-canon animated television series titled LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures.
